“It’s like a mom-and-pop unbranded 7/11—basically a small convenience store, what in NYC would be a bodega.”

I wouldn’t call the first gen MS3 childish at all (biased as an owner). It was 90% of the same car as the regular 3. The second gen had the hood scoop that put it over the edge of an already more aggressive looking design in the 2nd gen 3.

Its a symbiotic relationship, when it inevitably catches fire the head gaskets will blow and it will self-extinguish using coolant.

I’m not sure how to take this. “Proceeding with life” would mean that, to a rational employer/manager, taking action to ensure that this doesn’t happen under their watch again, whether that be with a current or future employee.

Example: I took my beater to a quick oil change joint down the street this summer

How could anyone forget the Fancy Pathy? Seriously, let us celebrate the days when SUV’s were almost all actual 4x4s.

“Making sure the dual Weber carbs were sync’d was a priority, along with making sure the axles were in good shape, the suspension, the engine, everything.”

I’m going to be cremated and donate my ashes to Ferrari’s testing program.

I still think it would have made for a better story if one of you (Orlove) was eaten by hill people in the Midwest.

Here’s what i can’t wait for: The look on the asshole’s face that buys this car and THEN realizes, after a couple of long, slow slides that he needs not one but a PAIR of $500 tires.

What was going to be a 10-hour drive turned into 14 and a half by the end of it. We were making it through the night, in high-speed traffic of I-94 across Michigan, getting blown around the wind of the Great Lakes, in the rain, with no windshield wipers. We were advised that the wiper linkage was so sloppy that it

“with no windshield wipers’

Sounds like the guy interviewed is responsible for more than just this, and the first two people they popped owed $1.6m in taxes. I’m riding on “Yeah, probably.”

“You didn’t pay taxes..”

Are you serious? Instagram is free.... these guys were avoiding millions in skipped taxes. Do the math....

If you can afford those super cars you can afford the taxes.

Well, if the owners are shorting GA to the tune of $10k a pop, one a month per investigator would make it revenue neutral. But that’s a shitty metric for whether or not fraud should be investigated and be punished.

Eh, I suspect there’s more of those guys than you think. 19K is hardly hedgefund manager money. More like reasonably well off professional. Probably in their 40's, who grew up with imports instead of domestics. This is a very desirable car to me-alas with two kids about to head to private high school and college, I’m

I mean, it has less than 40k miles. A person looking for a vintage Supra would have to be on the Crack Pipe themselves to pass up a deal like this.

Is no one going to mention the fact that the Arkansas Heavy Bridge Maintenance twitter handle is Bridge Trolls??

His logic is irrefutable.
