The article is about the Montero, not the Sport. The Sport is the little sister of the Montero. Not nearly as capable, although they are decent.

Whole different animal.. that's not the one this article is referencing. That's a Sport. A lot cheaper new and nowhere near the capability of the Montero. These were alot smaller as well.
1st Gen Troopers, yes, anything after the transmissions were junk. Same for Rodeos, Amigos, and Vehicross. All used the same trans. For this reason, I went with the Montero. They used Aisin transmissions, and they are pretty much bulletproof. Also, Troopers weren't really rally proven or won anything..
I've got Bilsteins on my 97 and it is so smooth it doesn't even feel like a truck. Should be the first thing any Monty owner does is install them..
I bought my 05 Gen 3 Monty with the 3.8 Mivec engine a year and a half ago in Glendale AZ (Az car it’s whole life, not a speck of rust) with 230k on it for 1600. Has not needed a thing and been my daily for a year and a half. Also own a 97 with the 3.5 sohc that I got at auction in Tucson (again, no rust, Bilsteins,…
Andrew failed to touch on the fact that the 3rd Gen 04 to 06 models have the 3.8 Mivec engine which is a beast.. the best engine in any gen. A little more complicated mechanically than the 3.5's, 3.0 and 4 cylinder (and diesel elsewhere) I own a 05 and 97 and both have over 200k on them, but never fail to do what you…
Stephen A needs to upgrade from Madden 99 for his research material.
Bob’s adopted (at age 31!) Stepson.. seems highly unlikely he would feel he had any real rights to the company morally or legally seeing how he wasn’t even raised by Bob and a grown ass man by the time his mom married Bob. My mom has remarried twice since me becoming a adult, and I would never, ever think that I had…
It was in reference to female students aka paying customers, read it again.. might be why a successful 50 year business goes belly up after 8 years of Cruella Deville at the helm.
Doesn't say staff, it says students, aka paying customers. A real good way to kill a successful 50 year old business in 8 short years.
Weren't you going to thin the herd and scrap one of the Cherokees anyway? In true Tracy form, just swap the needed parts with that one.. better yet, halve the work and buy new parts..
I think the option is that these here are LEDs. Incandescent is probably standard.. Leave it to the OEMS to charge 95 bucks for 5 5 dollar bulbs.
Proof-
I would hope any 4x4 could handle that.. Looks more like a demo course at a new truck unveiling press conference. The real untold story here should be the fact the Alaska DOT had that road completely repaired and reopened in a week.. that would be a 2 year closure / project in most states. That impresses me way more…
CVTS are probably the majority of what's available nowdays, or was til a couple years ago, and Nissans were one of the worst out there for feel, durability and cost to repair. Look at junkyards or Craigslist parts section at how many low mileage Cubes and Versa and Altimas are out there. I've heard of 4000 dollars to…
I would totally rock that with the new Suzuki Jimny drivetrains and chassis under it..
No you dont.. it’s still an Envoy..and Studebaker beat them to it about 50 years prior with the Wagonair..and the Stude would probably be more reliable today..
It's the equivalent of a Sleeper cab on a semi.. while I have seen sleepers on dually pickups for hotshot duty and such, they look like abominations and are a mile long. The fact that the hood is alot shorter on the van is a bonus as it cuts down on overall length, even though they are still as long as a aircraft…
Like I said earlier, take a foward control van like above, put a Suzuki Jimny chassis and running gear under it, sell in US=PROFIT
Put a Suzuki Jimny chassis and running gear under it and you could probably print money with it.. SUZUKI, ARE YOU READING THIS? ALSO, PLEASE COME BACK TO THE U.S.
