It’s almost as if there aren’t hundreds, nay, thousands of games that play between 20 minutes and 8 hours.

I just got Codenames a week ago, haven’t gotten to play it yet, and I knew it was hot, but I didn’t realize it’s already ranked as #1 Party Game on BGG.

Because it objectively doesn’t belong in the conversation. The worlds collective authority on board games gives it a 5.9 out of 10. It’s fine for what it is, a super light very random deck of cards. Curious what games you are familiar with that have a shorter set up than Pandemic? Ever play Agricola, Terra Mystica, Archipelago, Brew Crafters, etc.? People sell organizers to cut the set up time down from 15 - 20 minutes!

I enjoy Party games, I own Codenames, New Salem, Coup, Resistance, Werewolf, Telestrations, etc. These are all well regarded games. Exploding Kittens is currently in the 4000’s on BoardGameGeek.
