The only thing that makes this rare is it is an unusual (and kind of ugly imho) trim package. I could see this one being a nostalgia buy at $1500, but no dice to any more than that.

“Is this how The Real World or Road Rules appeared to adults back in the 90s?”
Yes, exactly
even that doesn’t always work -- they recently changed to URL, I think it was related to the name change from NPOCP
If it was in 1992... you’d have to ask the dealer if you can use their phone to call the cops on them.
I think you have to combine the Camaro and Firebird numbers to get the real picture, since they are essentially the same car.
They also turned the Ford Granada into the Lincoln Versailles, although they disguised it much better than GM did with the Cimmaron.
Well, this is kind of a niche brand. And while this looks cool, any additional power its engine provides will be offset by its corpulence. And with a price that is approaching double what a Grom costs, I can’t see them selling too many of these.
“whatever style you could afford in conjunction with the economy you had to cope with”
In my area in the 80s, poor folks usually drove beater sedans or econo-boxes (think Pintos and Vegas) from the 70s, or rusted out shitboxes from the 60s. I also saw some guys get great deals on luxo-barges like Imperial, Cadillac, or…
“did they fix the dohicky”

Everything’s bigger in Texas
Cars in the U.S. don’t have those kind of lamps.
Split-bench, best of both worlds. My biggest problem with bench seats is there is (usually) no lumbar support, and absolutely no side bolsters. Get a little agressive going around a curve and you gotta hang onto the wheel for dear life. Shoulder belts have helped, but still.

Sadly, Pontiac didn’t have a performance G-body comparable to the sister divisions (unless you count the limited-production (1,225 built) homologation special, the 2+2, with a 305 ci V8 and a four-barrel carb. And Pontiac was supposedly GM’s performance division. It would have been nice if they had continued the…
“...hasn’t actually been driven since 2013"
And parked outdoors the whole time since then by the looks of it. I hated these even when they were new. Asking price is about double what it ought to be.
Nobody wanted these when they were new. Now that it’s 16 years old, this guy wants nearly $10-grand for it? No Dice.
I’ve seen this done before. Back in the 70s, when rectangular sealed-beam headlights became DOT legal, some customizers used them in place of round headlights to significantly change the front-end styling. I don’t think it was common.
5th gen was uglier than this 6th gen design.
Super clean, but I think it’s only worth about $3500 tops. And I’m wondering why they have 1970's, fratzog- era Plymouth Valiant hubcaps on this car. The 80's hubcaps were flatter and had the Pentastar in the center.
It is also west of Tennessee, and parts of it are further south than Kentucky.
