Maybe we have more criminals (per capita) than most other developed countries... Thus we imprison a larger percentage of our population.

“Man. 1954 was apparently not a good year for American car companies, with the deaths of Hudson, Nash-Kelvinator, and Packard.”

“Any sucker that leaves his shit unattended will get it stolen - it’s the law of the land round these parts.”

“If you want a stupidly comfortable cross country cruiser, you buy the goldwing. If you want to pay a lot more, you could buy the BMW. If you want less ... everything else except resale and loud factor, you buy the Harley.”

Wasn’t the Mercury version of the 500 called the Milan? I don’t think they revived the Sable nameplate before Mercury was killed off. <edit> Nevermind, the Milan was sister to the Fusion.

Scum Class

He’s saying there are morons out there that will pony up these kinds of bucks for one of these. CP to those who have any sense, but it could sell to the clueless buyer with deep enough pockets.

Now playing

Pontiac performance has been associated with tigers and bobcats since the ‘60s. You may have seen license plates on GTOs that say “GR-RRR”

There’s more to it that that:

As I recall, the issue wasn’t so much what they said, but more the fact they were performing in a foreign country (Germany) when they said it. You don’t go to a foreign country and then badmouth your homeland or its president.

That second one is a factory produced 1960 El Camino, not a project car.

...

Great Scott! He showed his True Temper when he went off like a loose Cannondale.

The goofy steering wheel...that explains why in the video you can see the car jerking back and forth, like it has a bad alignment problem

Plus lodging, meals, and security

Not exactly. Cops will find a way to categorize anything they think is wrong. Lanesplitting can be called “illegal lane usage”, “failure to exercise due caution”, or whatever obscure traffic regulation happens to be on the books that they can make fit the situation.

Au contraire... The Hyundai Pony pickup. (sorry you have to click the images unless someone takes me out of the grey)

If it was in good shape it might be worth the asking price. As is, it’s worth a dollar a cc ($350). Crack pipe at $2000.
