Perhaps some musings on infidelity as well.

I liked his performance in 1408. He does bitter sarcastic asshole really well (acting?).

What is it about the Raven that made it such a shit movie? I'll admit the premise is attractive to me but I was scared away by all the negative reviews.

You're right, I gaffed that one up.

Yeah he also fucked his niece.

The thing about die-hard horror fans is that they actually prefer all of those tired tropes and cheap tricks. That's why the genre is mostly a ghetto, with an occasional Shining, Exorcist or Rosemary's Baby cutting through the noise.

Yeah I loved it. Just felt bad that it was such a commercial failure.

Steve Coogan rocks. Nice to see him getting work. I felt bad for him after Hamlet 2.

One way to do it is to stop making ridiculous overwrought comic book movies for 30 year old manchildren.

She made it look good

I'm always baffled by these premises…a man (or woman) is newly single and looking for love! Marvel as he engages in inane conversation with undergrad dolts in a shadowy free trade coffeehouse! Will he find love? And so what if he does?

Rosamund Pike was incredible in this film. I'd watch her again in anything. Just strikingly beautiful and endearing, while also cerebral and classy. I wish women like her existed in reality.

Are you trying to prove that opinions can be wrong or something?

What's great about the original is how black and vicious most of the comedy is. There is a delightfully misanthropic edge to it that I doubt will be captured in this sequel, in light of Burton's recent work.

I remember trying to watch this show way back, and having an irrational hatred for the short fat one who dressed in 90's-style hippityhop clothing. Everything about that guy just inspired primal rage and loathing in me.

Wow, zombies!? I'm skeptical how such an obscure and little-used plot device is going to play out. Not sure if the world is ready for this. I mean what's next, superheroes?

To each his own. It is dispiriting to see such a unique film as Inherent Vice get such a dismissive reaction, while Marvel Studios dreck is universally praised. I left Guardians of the Galaxy feeling tired and empty. I left Inherent Vice feeling dazzled and grateful.

You're assuming that the film being incomprehensible on a first viewing qualifies it as a failure. I don't think like that. My favorite films are ones in which reward multiple watches. Mulholland Drive makes little sense until you go back and try to solve the puzzle yourself. 2001 doesn't have much of a narrative at

Well, I'm assuming that these others are viewing films with two eyeballs. I'm assuming these two eyeballs allow the full range of the color spectrum and the sensory dynamic of sight being filtered to the brain. Given that, if one can't recognize the brilliance of PTA's vision then I have nothing to say to him/her.

You know what, I'm just gonna let you "win" this one and I'll go back to enjoying Inherent Vice.
