I was thinking about this piece while fixing a fence post, and listening to NPR. I was going to come back in the house and write a defense of Caucasian Thanksgiving cuisine, which, growing up in my family, was amazing. (My grandmother made real damn mincemeat.)

I read and re-read this book so many times as a kid, so thrilled to have a sci-fi story with a girl as the main character. I can’t *wait* to see the movie.
