Have a read about Proof of Stake. Etherium, the second-biggest cryptocurrency by market cap, is moving to it, along with many others, apparently. Proof of Stake requires no significant power and does not use a GPU or ASIC.

13 hours for this type of game is “long” for the reason you stated: it drags and drags down the stretch. Pacing is very important and I think how a game fills itself out is part of that equation. I would say that budget accounts for some of it. This wasn’t a title with a CoD style budget but a more modest one. Another problem is the always online component in a game they still insist is not a live service game and can be played solo....despite all evidence to the contrary
