It certainly was, I never had any problem with it or it’s concept. I was happy to purchase it outright pretty much from the get go. My son loved it for quite sometime so I felt like I got my money out of it.

I actually paid for Mario Run because my son loved it and I felt the price point wasn’t too crazy for what I was getting (Other than some money in Pokemon Go for my son, that’s the only mobile game I’ve ever bought). That said I skipped Mario Kart Tour and played Dr. Mario for like 20 levels before I ran out of free…
I’ve actually read else where that Dr. Mario was actually the lowest performer of the grouping. They make more money on Fire Emblem than all the others and even then all this accounts for like 2-3% of Nintendo Online Revenue, which isn’t much at all.
I actually never argue that they wouldn’t serve any other purpose, I merely suggest that at the end of the day the only people that *really* care about achievements are hunters. They are the small fraction of a player base that are going to 100% be included in this ‘joke’. The rest are either never going to get the…
Have they ever used a deep fryer? Woulda saved them a lot of time.
Nintendo is somehow great at knowing what games people want to play on their systems but completely oblivious on how to add anything to the main menu that’s helpful, beyond START/PLAY.
I prefer a story driven game, but liked ACNH’s feel, so I somehow stuck this game out longer than I did ACNH (god knows what my pandemic island looks like).
I mean, okay, but those numbers really don’t lie and kinda indicate something... But people have different draws to games. I have a friend who I used to play Call of Duty with and I realized one day that he had never, ever even loaded the single player campaign once... on any of the various CoD’s we had played. He…
Depends on the achievements? Were they based on completing the race, or winning? Oddly a big difference.
I think you’re missing the point of that argument, still... somehow?
I found Cozy Grove and while it has no terraforming, it scratched all the itches I needed from an ACNH style game.
Not. One. Bit.
And for the record, I will actually pass a game solely on it’s lack of achievements. it’s gotta be really, really good for me to buy a game that doesn’t come with any (lookin’ at you Valheim).
It wouldn’t cause me anguish, but as an achievement whore nothing gets me going more than a really difficult achievement.
that also will be my exact experience in the end.
my entire time with Highfleet was spent imagining its creators simply telling me “fuck you this is the game we made” every time I thought about complaining that something didn’t feel right or was too hard.
Is there cake?
This. I will admit this is the one thing I’d say is the big draw. Currently I am missing the amazing details many games have to offer on textures/assets. I imagine a good upgrade from where I am will put me in a good spot, but i certainly wont need a 3090.
jesus christ i havent seen one of those in decades now. we had our intellivision hooked up with that bad boy.
Reminds me of a mythbusters episode.
