Ah, good to know, thank you. They must have recently ported Lord of Shadows II as it's available on Steam, but I don't feel as obligated to play now which is liberating.

That's unfortunate to hear. What do you find lacking in the sequel(s)?

Right! It's so good. I'll be beating the hell out of the boss, but miss those silly timing events and have to start over. The sense of scale, level/character design and combat are top notch though. I will definitely be playing the second one in the future.

Every time I mention it to someone that's the response I get. I'm excited.

None of these are RTS, but I'll throw out Antichamber, Gone Home, Papers Please, Gunpoint, Kentucky Route Zero and Proteus ( not so much a game as it is a state of mind). Also, now you can play the first Witcher game which is PC only!

Enjoying a wealth of gaming goodness right now. Still working through Castlevania: Lord of Shadow, but only play a chapter at a time because those horrible quicktime events frustrate me to no end. Too bad considering the rest of the game is top notch from story to game design.

Mostly catching up on games now that I have some legit free time. Finished Gone Home which was a fantastic story. I know a lot of people felt underwhelmed by it, but I identified a lot with the younger sister and her struggles and the developers way of laying out the story was excellent.

E3 Announcement Thread

Opening the exhibit I've been working on for months with a friend. Makes it my fifth installation this year!

Overfeeding your pet is never an accomplishment. -7 to the internet.

Things get a bit more bizarre, it's worth checking out.

I installed mine through DOS with about 5 or 6 floppy diskettes. A friend 'ripped' me a copy.

I wish you the best!

I'm sure it's pointing out the obvious, but you are burnt out. I know it may add pressure to your timeline, but you need to get outside yourself. Take a day off, go sit in a park, a museum, by a lake or with someone kinda sexy. Try not to think about it for at least 24 hours. It will help with a new perspective

No doubt, it is taking a long time to put this game together which is why I think they have been constantly offering at half price which is when I scooped it up. It has been worth it simply based off the music and game design.

Back and forth between Castlevania: Lord of Shadows and the first Darksiders right now. First time playing Darksiders (but maybe 4th overall?) on my PC as opposed to the 360 and it looks sooo much better. @venerablemonk:disqus just mentioned the forth episode of Kentucky Route Zero is coming quick so some late-night

Congratulations on the home and thanks for dropping by with that sweet episode IV news! I too will replay the first three in anticipation.

The sound design comes off a bit annoying as well and I always find it distracting.

I suppose the Meat Circus from Psychonauts. It gets easier the more you play it, but still not nearly as fun as the whole rest of the game. Most certainly that jetski scene from Uncharted, that shit was terrible.

Todd and the Book of Pure Evil! I purchased the whole series for my birthday and have been making my way through the first season. Also making a list of music I dig from the soundtrack like Children of Bodom, Doomriders and Mouth of the Architect for additional listening.
