I have had the same - first company has a 9 - 5 schedule (with hour lunch break), yet all are salaried but everyone submits time sheets. Work/life is again blurred in that staff arrives as early as 7AM and leaves as late as 7PM (or later). I have heard stories of people working all nighters. Most people either don’t

The absolute worst gift other than cash: any gift without a gift receipt.

Funny - I have been to a few large shows (last one was the Philly Flower Show) and they sold Shock Top as “craft” for the premium price - when had my money out for domestic (it’s made by Anheuser-Busch) the guy looked at me weird - as if I had figured out the scam.

Regardless of the upper, you should also consider the treads/traction as well as the amount of cushion in the ball of the foot and heel - if those are worn out it can lead to foot pain/fatigue - especially if you stand or work on your feet a lot. I have bought the same exact shoes 2 or 3 times when they get worn out

In a lot of workplaces, “good enough and done ASAP” beats “perfect and by deadline” ... but it depends on the work...

I see what you’re saying - I was speaking to the angle of paying in extra in order for the PMI to drop off - depending on the loan details, making the extra payments won’t have it drop until a certain date - regardless of how much extra you pay towards the principle. Agreed that extra payments toward the principle

About #2 - be sure you know the details of any mortgage with PMI - a lot of recent loans carry a % paid or date for it to drop (whichever is later). We decided to not add extra money to each payment until the PMI drops off.

Indeed PMI is a tough one - my 30 year mortgage was right in the middle of recent mortgage changes - our PMI cannot drop off until a certain date has passed regardless of how much extra paid to the principal. We originally thought we could pay it down but at closing realized - it is a very crucial detail - so we

I find your comment to be somewhat dark and sad, yet cannot disagree. I do agree with Thorin’s reply about censorship while in certain environments - but is that truly your authentic self? It’s a compelling subject - as an artist working in the corporate environments I struggle with this every.single.day.

For a site that is as big and respected as Mint is (I used to use it a few years ago), it still fails to be able to load & show all my accounts - continuous issues for years have prohibited me from using it. Plus they continually bombard my inbox with offers and emails which is somewhat of a turn off. I agree that it c

It went on so long because he was assisted by the police (albeit indirectly). I’m glad he’s caught - hope he messes up in jail for a longer sentence - oh wait he is rich & famous and attractive with a plea deal...crap.

Get one that looks like this:

I have a glass display case behind my (99% of the time closed) closet door in my office - the tennis ball on the knob is perfect - I have had a few instances where the ball it against the glass case, no issue as it's tempered glass - but the metal knob could definitely cause a crack/break. The rubber inside the ball

FANTASTIC writing - well done Geoffrey.
