100% agreed, and this applies to car buying in general too. I spent plenty of my life buying old cars for cheap that needed fixing, and it’s worth it (to me) to buy something newer/nicer that I never need to worry about. Unpopular opinion here on Jalopnik, but this is how most non-car people feel about it too.

Johnny 5 is a much closer relative. Number 5 is alive.....

Gosh, I hope they’ve got some engineers to think about these things. You should let them know before they run through the whole $35 million without hearing your concerns.

I like it....

If you read the names upside down, they are perfectly European.

Basically every online media outlet that in the 2000s and early ‘10s was an edgy independent outlet is now publishing endless low energy content and literally all written in the same exact voice and perspective because 100% of these people are spending most of their working day on Twitter.

Nope, the back wheels aren't driven and the front aren't touching. Tires can't fix that.

First was Textron EZ-Go Turf Truckster and a Cushman with 3-speed column shift, and a Massey Ferguson 35. For the Massey, you generally would just start in the gear you wanted, but for fun I learned how to double-clutch the unsynchronized 4-speed. It did make starting up with a full spreader easier.

Yes, we get it — dedicated snow tires are better in winter driving conditions. No one disputes this. But they are overkill or even entirely unnecessary in large parts of the US.

Can it be used to fix this broken ass comment system?

I came home one day and when my wife came home she asked ‘oooh is it for me ???” V60 Polestar in front of my house behind my V50 850 V70 C30 and S60, I had to brake it to her that it wasn’t later a ratty 144 wagon kept appearing and that she was not impressed with-no it wasn’t mine

As it is, it may be an OK price, but when you open the link on Rob’s last paragraph where a fully restored one (refurb engine, transmission, brakes, shiny paint and mint upholstery) sells for $4K more, then why would you take this one? You wouldn’t be able to get this one in showroom condition for an extra $4K.

So just like taking Yelp reviews with a grain of salt - keeping in mind that it is often dissatisfied customers that have the passion to post a rating - it is important to consider positive experiences as well.

It doesn’t take a crystal ball to see where things go from here — just a passing look at what happened a decade ago.

While my TDI Sportwagen and I salute your purchase, unfortunately no VW diesel can lay claim to being the best diesel wagon unless we’ve switched to a parallel universe where the Mercedes W123 300D did not exist.

I am generally opposed to trying children as adults, and exceedingly skeptical of what passes for justice in Florida, but I think I am good with this.

Bicyclist here. I thought the apology was refreshing in an age of half assed “we’re sorry if we offended anyone B.S. that passes for sincere nowadays.

Did it really have to be served on a triangular plate? I mean, what if the food gets lost before you can eat it?
