There were two changes to the fries. First in the early 90s when they switched to vegetable oil. But also in the late 90s while I worked there they switched the actual fry itself to one that would last longer. This was the worse change that I think the one op is talking about.

This. I have a memory of them tasting way better. More chocolate flavor and i think maybe more salty than today. The modern version taste very just straight up sugar.

I sometimes get a craving for the taste of early 90s taco bell beef tacos and it's nothing like the version today. I'm pretty sure when Yum bought them they changed the recipe over for the worse.

As an engineer I love overly complex solutions. But am I over simplifying by thinking you could have just tethered your laptop to your smart phone and updated your data plan for a month? Once that indoor equipment shorts out in a few weeks I think the cost will be about the same.

I auto hide my task bar, but the issue with that is when you use an app full screen which has buttons or tabs like excel on the bottom, you tend to accidentally show the task bar when trying to switch worksheets which then covers the tabs with the taskbar. Then you have to sit there and waiting for it to hide again

I wish it would let me pre-order and decide later which model to pick. I get why they don't, but it's kind of hard to decide right now if the base model is right for me or if I should go high end. I'll just wait at this point. I'd hate to lock in a base model for the first reviewers to find it inadequate and now I'm

I’m pretty sure you also use the joy cons with steam link but I haven’t tried. Might be good for a test run before you buy a switch pro. But I really like the switch pro and I’m pretty picky about controllers.

Not sure if you ever watch the youtube channel LGR but he reviews odd hardware from the the late 90s early 2000s. This is totally the kind of thing I could see him reviewing in like 2040

If it’s anything like other steam hardware they’ll be giving it away in two years. I got my steam link, which I love btw, for $5 directly through steam during a winter sales.

That’s my hangup too, just about every game I’d want to play on a handheld and not a keyboard and mouse has already been ported to switch. Yes they tend to cost more than on steam but I could just take that $400 and buy the games I want on switch and still end up with cash to spare. It seems like the sweet spot for

You can pair almost any wireless controller with the steam link FYI. I use my switch pro controller with mine and it works great. There's even a built in profile for it which maps the buttons properly for most games.

I love my steam link, the answer for me was powerline adapters. I get barely 25mbps in my old house but it’s enough to stream like butter.

Can ya’ll just give me a steam link app for switch please that’s all I really need. This looks cool but $400 feels like too much to me when so much of my steam library is also available on the switch which retails for $100 less.

They thankfully didn't model the girl, just the tub.

Allegedly, but after you see it and the tub in the same map it’s hard to think it’s a coincidence.

I prefer this over the time the UT2004 level designers hid goatse and tubgirl (do no Google of you don’t know what these are) in the junkyard map.

I get what you’re saying, but many home issues don’t immediately effect my quality of life but are urgent to prevent more serious and expensive issues later. For example if water is leaking behind a wall and the landlord wants to ignore it, fine its not my problem when the water rots the floors out 5 years later. In

As a home owner for over a decade I would love to rent instead. Owning a home is a pain in the ass, shit always breaks right after you just had the worst day week of work and just want to relax. Now you’re scrambling to find a plumber who will charge you $200 to just walk in the front door before even diagnosing the

I’ve seen both films about a hundred times and I only realized this like two years ago. Semi related I was watching Pulp Fiction last night, another film I’ve seen a hundred times, and only just realized the Buddy Holly impersonator/waiter in the 50s restaurant is Steve Buscemi.

The true irony of that is cable was initially marketed as ad free because it was subscription supported vs OTA TV which was free but ad supported. Didn’t take them long to realize they could double dip showing ads and charging a monthly fee. One generation later nobody ever questioned it and it was accepted as the
