I wish it would let me pre-order and decide later which model to pick. I get why they don't, but it's kind of hard to decide right now if the base model is right for me or if I should go high end. I'll just wait at this point. I'd hate to lock in a base model for the first reviewers to find it inadequate and now I'm

I’m pretty sure you also use the joy cons with steam link but I haven’t tried. Might be good for a test run before you buy a switch pro. But I really like the switch pro and I’m pretty picky about controllers.

Not sure if you ever watch the youtube channel LGR but he reviews odd hardware from the the late 90s early 2000s. This is totally the kind of thing I could see him reviewing in like 2040

If it’s anything like other steam hardware they’ll be giving it away in two years. I got my steam link, which I love btw, for $5 directly through steam during a winter sales.

That’s my hangup too, just about every game I’d want to play on a handheld and not a keyboard and mouse has already been ported to switch. Yes they tend to cost more than on steam but I could just take that $400 and buy the games I want on switch and still end up with cash to spare. It seems like the sweet spot for

You can pair almost any wireless controller with the steam link FYI. I use my switch pro controller with mine and it works great. There's even a built in profile for it which maps the buttons properly for most games.

I love my steam link, the answer for me was powerline adapters. I get barely 25mbps in my old house but it’s enough to stream like butter.

Can ya’ll just give me a steam link app for switch please that’s all I really need. This looks cool but $400 feels like too much to me when so much of my steam library is also available on the switch which retails for $100 less.

They thankfully didn't model the girl, just the tub.

Allegedly, but after you see it and the tub in the same map it’s hard to think it’s a coincidence.

I prefer this over the time the UT2004 level designers hid goatse and tubgirl (do no Google of you don’t know what these are) in the junkyard map.

The true irony of that is cable was initially marketed as ad free because it was subscription supported vs OTA TV which was free but ad supported. Didn’t take them long to realize they could double dip showing ads and charging a monthly fee. One generation later nobody ever questioned it and it was accepted as the

Crossfire was pretty fun plus if you placed your finger in the right place below the little ramp where the marbles shoot out of you could get them to shoot straight at your friend's face. Good times.

People always look at me sideways when mention a shower beer. The simplest way to explain it is that it’s like the poor man’s version of relaxing in the hot tub with a beer.

The former deadspin editors launched thier new site Defector last fall and the comment system has been a breath of fresh air. Its got its glitches like anything but it’s largely worked since day one. That site is run off subscriptions and probably with 1/1000000 of the software budget of kinja. I highly recommend

Amazing to think children have been conceived, birthed and are probably close to entering high school and in that time kinja is still lacking basic functionality like proper notifications, linking and threading. I also can't stand the edits to posts don't show up for some arbitrary time frame probably due to poorly

Couldn’t foreign simply mean “non-GM” in this context? When doctors tell you there is a foreign object lodged in your anus, it doesn’t always mean it came from Europe.

This was becoming a huge thing in taxis before ironically tech all but killed them off. Last few times I took a cab it would auto play loud as commercials every time you got in.

I’m not even that paranoid a tech person, like I have minimal concerns with Google assistant, Alexa etc. tracking or maybe listening to me. But I’ll be dammed if I’m strapping an array of cameras to my head, mapping my room and connecting it all to a Facebook account tied to my name.

Ironically the same people are in favor of Voter ID laws.
