I'm guessing there was still some serious debate over whether or not to fix the problem or get a foot long.

I just traded in my 3 1/2 year old 3G to amazon for $56. Never once used a case, back was slightly scratched up but not too bad, some tiny scratches on the screen. So yeah, I agree.
My only privacy fear is my dog learning to talk.
Last time I bought a game at Gamestop I stopped the inevitable "Would you like to pre-order any games" question by saying I buy everything I can from Steam, however this game wasn't available on there. He went on a rant very similar to the one in this post about how I was costing people jobs etc. I asked him if he…
That's sort of the risk you take with Steam, but it's kind of worth it. Possibly if Steam folds up I lose all my games, but I bought nearly everyone of them for under $10 most under $5. I'm maybe out $200 of games I've already played and might never play again. If I were to buy physical copies of each of those games…
Not sure I agree with the first point, at least if we're talking about Steam as we should be since it's bar far the leader in digital PC/Mac games. Digital games on Steam are actually much more flexible.
This is more of the issue of a monopoly than an inherent problem with DD. The only place you can buy a digital 360/PS3 game is through Xbox Live/PSN respectively. Steam has several competitors, windows live, amazon, gamespot is getting in on it, and thousands of other little sites popping up all the time. This keeps…

I'd be scared if only I were arrogant enough to believe someone would go through all this trouble to track me down. Let's face it, most of aren't that interesting.
I believe the shutdown hanging problem did get better after FF4 came out but I switched to Chrome right around that time so I didn't really beat on it as much as I did with FF3. Also to be fair, most memory leaks seem to be caused by add-ons. It was really bad for me when I war running Firebug and Adblock at the same…
In my experience when FF is leaking badly it can sometimes take forever to shutdown. I often have to manually kill the process from the Task manager. I've seen it take over 5 minutes to die.
Featured, how to rap about Windows.
Yeah I just discovered them the other day while researching wireless speaker setups. Reviews are mixed about their reliability at distance and through walls, but that's case with just about any review of any wireless tech. Most can't do 3D yet if that's your thing. I still think it's awesome though. I thought we were…
If someone makes a Hypercolor case for it 90's kid's head will explode.

That's just how it goes, when the first 1GB hard drive came out back in the mid 90's it was the same price. It's a good thing because it's very existence will push down the price of the smaller drives. Eventually a 3TB SSD will come out and we'll all be buying the 1TB for $100.
Good to, know. I'm still going to wait on rebuilding though because I don't feel like reinstalling everything only to blow it all away again in a few months. I
I'm planning on buyin OEM but I'm also due to rebuild my rig soon, with OEM binding to hardware there is no point in upgrading to Win 7 until after I rebuild. I'm only ordering the 560 now because my 8800 isn't cutting it anymore. and I need just a tiny bit more oomph to get a smooth framerate on Deus Ex HR. From what…
Having played arkham assylum on PC I'd consider getting a controller for this if you don't have it. For the most part I was fine with the keyboard, but some boss fights were tricky to pull off the batarang and dodge moves while straffing.
Awesome, I actually just ordered a 560 to replace my 8800GT last night and got a free copy of Arkham City with it. Now I need to get my ass off Win XP and so I can get some DX11 love.
