Dear Jalopnik staff,
Understeer: you see the bystanders you mow over
Coming soon in an understeery cloud of smoke to a Cars and Coffee near you!
Yes, pocket change indeed. Just a 1 years full salary and a 1/3 of the next.
Whenever I see a car name like “McLaren 570s Spider”, my mind just reads it as “McLaren Numbers and Letters Spider”. So as far as I’m concerned, McLaren only has one model of car, and it’s the same as the BMW car and the Mercedes-Benz car.
Well, let’s look it at it like this. BMW took the GT acronym and attached it to awkward looking four door sedan/wagon hybrids. When in fact, the 6 series and the 8 series were true GTs, Gran Turismos. So, it is BMW trying to change what GT stands for, and forcing said vehicle design down our throats, when in fact,…
It seems nearly all of the BMWs I would like to own are at least ten or fifteen years old, if not older. And an E24 is one of them; I’ve always loved that car.
Could you imagine picking up an educated (shallow) woman for a first date in this thing?
What is a “phone book”?
The Avista would get me into a Buick dealership. There is unfortunately little chance that they would offer it with a manual, even though its Alpha platform mates are available with a row-your-own option.
The Escala is used in ads to help drive traffic to the dealer. It’s called the Cadillac Escala aid.
Ditto, was hoping for Escala, went over to the G90 then G80 at Genesis. Cadillac chased me to Korea
My inlaws did this exact thing. They saw the commercial. Inquired about the Escala... bought a Q50.
This is a proven tactic by GM. Introduce an amazing concept then ignore it.
