Beer and hot dog.......YUM!  Happy 4th to all!

Life is too short to deny yourself sustenance on the road.

Agreed. I’m a Honda fanboy and we’re a two Honda family. I’m not sure how to describe it, but the new Civics just have a corny “tactical” look that screams Oakley-goatee-MAGA dad.

Oh how clever... I guess being one of the few companies that continues to offer an affordable, light weight, rear wheel drive, 2 seat convertible with a manual transmission isn’t enough... 700+ hp or nothing I guess.

Something lost? Besides the fact that it’s not a real Corvette?

This pretty much says it all

Thank you for bringing back my childhood memories of GM’s “Wide” craze. This was the same time they were running adds bragging about how wide the camaro and corvette were.

No doubt there are plenty of widebody drivers waiting to snap them up.

Fuck, yeah. They’d find me on the flight deck, sitting in the captain’s seat making prop plane noises and surrounded by empty mini bottles. My first words to the rescuers [maintenance folks] would either be “I’ll never get over Macho Grande.” or “Surely, you can’t be serious.”

Ug. I enjoy your adventures but just don’t understand.

I’m fully aware that the Impala is dying a slow death, but it’s a very good big, safe, comfortable, powerful (yes, 305 hp is plenty) sedan. Perfect daily driver for a large adult who lives in a metropolis and has to drive to work in traffic.

What the hell do you have against the Honda Element? It was one of the rare true sport utility vehicles ever made, supremely useful, adaptable and reliable, like a good Swiss army knife.

IDGAF if my commuter is boring - so is traffic and I’m already stuck in it! Give me a good stereo for podcast listening and a civilized interior and I’m set. If the family is coming along, I’ll take the safest car out there too.

C-Max is not a bad suggestion. My Dad has the PHEV version. The space is a bit limited, but the entry/egress on that thing is nice! My Dad is older, and has knee and back issues.

Came here to suggest this. Even a normal Prius has plenty of room in it, I have a 2004 and have had me, my girlfriend, my two 60 lb dogs, and all our luggage in it, and still had room :-P I do wish I had sprung for the V though.

+1 to this. I heard they’re making an AWD prius variant now as well. That actually makes a fairly compelling argument for them.

I’m just saying this because I have a weird unjustifiable liking towards these things. And given that she’s not looking for anything particularly exciting, just needs efficient and spacious transportation, why not? Wagons make everything cooler...even a Prius, right? -

You lookin’ for a bonk bonk on the head?

Agreed - but on the part about the opinion being unpopular.
