...And with a column shifter. Not uncommon in its day, but oddball now.
Me too.
Thanks. It was actually supposed to be a dancing potato... but I think I like your interpretation better!
I’m sure they were thrilled. 14+% mortgages were common then. In 1985, I was very happy to get a 10.9% loan on a new car.
How did you like the TourX?
“Heat exhaustion and heatstroke can be like concussions...”
Yeah, it appears our cool standards are different. But I don’t find uncool folk “offensive.” :) It takes all kinds.
Cool car... but cooler than Paul Newman? I don’t think so.
Maybe someone should talk to this guy.
He’s married to that chick with the giant ass and all the botox.
A thousand times this. My sister had a ’91 wagon, and a neighbor of mine still has a ’92 four door that is in excellent shape, considering its age. Nice looking cars.
Is the Chapstick included?
Just no. I remember these things when they were new. Even those who liked the hardtop didn’t like the convertible. The ASC conversion might have been sound mechanically, but the top on the Cutlass didn’t look like it fit the car. It looked like some bro had done the conversion himself with a Sawzall.
True, that. Even the lowly Tercel Coupe was all wedgy for awhile.
“...I just don’t trust that any of these will still be around in a few years.”
Because a lot of Americans are tall and pudgy.
It gets worse.
“But how the hell does a windshield cost $1,209?”
