I want Feud: Joan and Olivia. F*ck lawsuits.

The real Christopher Robin Milne wasn’t shy about his resentment of his childhood fame and what he came to see as his father exploiting his childhood imaginings for profit. He would have hated this film with the passion of a thousand fiery sons...I mean suns. He was especially angry that his own lifetime

No worries. I’ve done similar. It’s all good. :)

I didn’t say he was white.

I’m going to suggest that the Canadian sitcom Schitt’s Creek is the best romcom going right now, and it’s highly sexually progressive to boot. The love lives of the two children, Alexis and David, are both given subversive versions of classic rom com plots (complete with snappy dialogue) and the parents manage to stay

Excuse me? She deals with rape threats and harassment all the time, and the people who do that to her are protected by an obsession with free speech. She gets snippy once and loses her career?

The comedy world has always shut out most voices that object to the vulgar, misogynist, racist and abusive game - being as “subversive” as you can is being as cruel and hateful as you can. I assert that hatred, cruelty, misogyny, racism, making light of the victims of terrible crimes and abusiveness is not subversive.

I have always hated the culture of comedy that encourages people to say the meanest, most offensive things they can. It’s never been funny and it’s always been lazy. Yet, I also know it was highly encouraged and is still is and there’s a long list of people who founded their careers on that culture. It’s also been

Elektra seemed pretty naive to me, and it’s nutty that she didn’t stash away some money or valuables knowing she could get kicked out. Maybe she just was good at lying to herself. I’ll also call BS on a fancy co-op building allowing any kept woman, let alone a trans woman of color, to reside there.

I agree. I think he’s just so obnoxious and was so obviously disliked at The Today Show that they jumped at a chance to get rid of him.

This reminds me of all the straight, white males who contribute to the conversation about vicious harassment and threats against Kelly Marie Tran and even Rian Johnson by explaining why they didn’t like The Last Jedi and their dislike didn’t have anything to do with misogyny or racism. They miss the point, and

The misogyny that drips from people blaming the partner of prominent men who commit suicide is forceful and terrifying, and they are almost always oblivious. Women are still expected to be perfect, subservient partners or their partners’ issues/problems/sins/behavior will be blamed on the woman. It’s ghastly.

Sean seems like a terrific guy and one who came out of child stardom relatively unscathed. Good for him and good for his parents who obviously had the know-how to protect him. I’m glad he’s well-adjusted and still working.

Also, I’ve noticed that his work has gone downhill rather significantly since his divorce, indicating that she might well have had a great deal to do with his early success. Also, once you really start examining Firefly as a metaphor for the Civil War with all that inconvenient slavery stuff scrubbed away so the south

How dare they advance the idea the women and gays and minorities are human beings! Shame on them.

The MSM’s derangement in wanting to blast Democrats, a party that is largely driven by women and people of color, for any reason is hilarious. Crowley was angling for Pelosi’s job and suddenly his loss is bad for her? I get that she might not like Cortez, because yes most Democrats despise anyone with the stink of

Exactly, and quacks can make promises actual scientists can’t.

I’m so sorry about your mom. That’s just heartbreaking. I lost my aunt just a few weeks ago, and she did everything she could as well. I certainly understand people who choose to forgo treatment that will be harsh and have little chance of success in favor of quality of life, but there’s a world of difference between

I’m also fascinated by how susceptible even educated, intelligent people are to these scams - just look at Steve Jobs. There just seems to be a toxic combination of romanticism, arrogance and suspicion of authority that fuels the appeal and all sorts of other conspiracy theories. The internet also seems to amplify it

A good friend of mine is about to lose her mom because the mom decided to cure her cancer holistically through diet. My friend even organized an intervention to beg her mother to get treatment but to no avail. These kinds of scams do cause immeasurable harm not only to the people who fall for it but their families. My
