Look, I don’t care if it’s Samuel L. Jackson sitting in Ten Forward shooting the shit for two hours, when Quentin Tarantino wants to make a Star Trek movie, YOU FUCKING LET QUENTIN TARANTINO MAKE A STAR TREK MOVIE!
I think everyone guessed it would be a remake/update/revisiting of “A Piece of the Action” at the time, which makes sense.
I didn’t think it was laugh out loud funny. I grew up very close to that area of Oklahoma and in a similar poverty level, so to me it more normal than humor.
I enjoyed the first ep enough that I was excited to see the second was available immediately on Hulu and watched it also. One of my favorite TV premiers in recent years.
I have a printout of Ricky Spanish in my cube that would serve the same purpose except everyone already knows I’m approachably weird.
Of COURSE a nonprofit had 264 consecutive Zoom meetings.
Why give up on waste of time meetings just because of a lil ole pandemic?
Thanks for (double) binging! My brother and I created the show. It was fun to write, hell to shoot and hopefully fun to watch.
It wasn’t for Katie, Ignatiy and Dowd, I would have stopped visiting this shitshow ages ago.
Nothing wrong with confronting your old material but when you have places like the AVClub whose business model now seems to go through a celebrity’s past like a lawyer looking for anything that they did that you can hashtag and make a career destroying scandal out of, don’t you think less people will want to risk…
You realize the information that you can currently access =/= what other people saw previously, right? It’s entirely absurd if you expect everybody is always operating on the full breadth of information available.
Or trying very hard not to - young drama types go for whatever they can to build a CV. (BA Major).
It feels like this is taking valuable space away from trying to destroy Gal Gadot. Or praising her for standing up for herself. Or trying to destroy her again.
It’s not surprising to hear that this was blown off at The Root. One weird thing about this particular strain of cannibalistic cancel culture, wherein liberal-presenting celebrities in good public standing are torn down over silly things that happened forever ago, is that it’s totally driven by white liberals trying…
My biggest problem with this whole Matthew Perry deal is it distracts us from making fun of David Schwimmer.
I mean, but the question is that AV Club’s Newswire is at the level of vindictive gossip magzine rags at this point. What do we do about it?
Tatiana is constantly writing news feeds that are sideways hit jobs
There’s no revelation here. Her participation in the creepy pageant has been public knowledge for years. I knew about it when she was just Erin from the Office.
To be fair, Tatiana used to write pieces for VICE, who was cofounded by Mr. Proud Boy himself. So I mean, using her logic, she’s super racist too.
Ugh, “her racist past” is even in the headline. By that logic, any white person who went to a school, worked at a company, or joined an organization founded before 1960 has an identical “racist past,” because all of America’s past and a lot of its present is pretty racist.
The problem here is you’re expecting critical thinking from current AV Club, instead of outrage clickbait nonsense
