Today Lifehacker jumped the shark in giving me workspace envy.

Envy levels rising. Someone find me an Android phone with a GUI as smooth as an iPhone = (

I fear that this map's easily-editted nature has been its downfall. Unless Godzilla really did emerge from the Thames (at around 3pm GMT) to support the protesters.

@CoH: A tactic whereby all protesters are herded like sheep into a single area and not allowed to leave for the rest of the day. It has been widely criticised as it essentially amounts to detaining people without charges or a warrant, or even a reason.

@Whitson Gordon: I spotted that and removed it. It didn't make much sense tucked away in the info page; I, like many, was using it as a sort of tagline for people to see when they first came to my profile. No more, sadly.

Much more aesthetically pleasing, although I instantly missed the little info box below the profile picture..

Meanwhile, in Europe:

First time I've not gotten mad at journalists for making the news rather than just reporting it. Think I just had a geekgasm. Lifehacker is my shepherd, and I shall not stray..

Argh, I'd just mapped out a load of tags and methods to move to Springpad from Google Tasks, and now I have to re-do it all _<

I do like passive information delivery, so much so it'd be cool if there was a tag dedicated to it, if there are enough articles that it could belong to. Saves me trawling manually through lh's archive :)

I love that a rubber band gun review doesn't get a "Why It Matters" section.

Mean, median or mode?

I take it R2 is being voiced by a stand-in then.

The fact that someone is still letting this man direct films with multi-million dollar budgets is the one major reason I don't believe the studios when they say their finances are on a knife-edge because of piracy.

The only reason I get excited about new Apple announcements is because I then know what other software vendors are going to copy - the UI and look-n-feel of Lion looks great, and I can't wait to see touch gestures take off in desktop computing.

I heart Gizmodo, I've never felt compelled to have an account with a media outlet before, the reviews and community across Gawker rock the shit out of everywhere else.

I agree with Joel's comments about the role of Twitter, and how it is a microcosm for how we relate to others on the internet.
