@adaminc: most of office is in the app-path for windows. so 'winword' or 'excel' should work anyway.

The title is a little misleading. When I think "welcome message" I think MOTD or the contents of /etc/issue (maybe in different places depending on BSD/linux and your distro).

I'd REALLY like to see Firefox go back to it's basic-but-highly-pluggable roots. I'd like some core Firefox/Mozilla 'certified' plug-ins or something like that so that I can still pick and choose what suits me best.

Casing a house for break-in is more about the person's schedule anyway. People have a right to privacy but there's certainly nothing stopping me from snapping a picture of a building. If I'm a fan of the architecture or a stalker; what's to determine that?
How do they get the images for the streets? I wonder if they have a way for the public to contribute?
