I feel like I didn’t consume much new-to-me pop culture this weekend, but I did watch the first three episodes of Superstore. They reminded me of the few episodes of The Office that I've seen, which is to say: the misery the characters ply onto each other in the name of working was not fun for me.  I may not be built

Sometimes, there is just something about a hat for certain women that accentuates their looks in interesting ways.  A trucker cap does it differently than a cowboy hat does it differently than a newsboy cap.

He may have been asleep, he may have been in a coma, he may have been acting. The point is, nobody knows for sure. He never blinks, yet he always seems to be at least partially asleep!

Now playing

This is Spike Jonze’s finest acting, unquestionably fire

He was fantastic in Wilfred.

Toby Jones knows what he did

That was over a decade ago, though. Apparently the Michael Cera character in the 2017 movie “Molly’s Game” about the scandal was supposed to be Tobey, but they didn’t want to get sued for libel so they didn't call the character that

I worked in the studios next door to these while it shot. Through the big bay doors, the sets looked awesome, and all of the dancing cast wandering around in their outfits(and masks) looked fun as hell. I wondered when this was gonna see the light of day. I’m interested to see how it turned out.

Winter Soldier is still my favorite MCU movie- the fight scenes are just SO GOOD. They are so well choreographed. I love how the entire movie builds up the Winter Soldier as this just badass mofo, and when he and Cap finally throw down.... It DOES. NOT. DISAPPOINT. That first Cap vs. Winter Soldier fight is SO good.

It’s a call back to the iron rings historically used as training tools and weapons in Kung Fu. Additionally, it looks more dramatic.

They should have gone with "Subnatural," missed opportunity

No Tim Roth is reprising his role as the Abomination in Shang-Chi. He’ll also be in She-Hulk.

I’m just excited for the introduction of everyone’s favorite ancient space dragon who wears purple pants: Fin Fang Foom!

Armond White, is that you? You weren’t arrested during the insurrection?  What’s that?  You’re here to tell me “The Hottie and the Nottie” is better than “Citizen Kane”?

I think we’re just going with inscrutable whims from here out.  It’s like they presume “my year of flops” gave “secret success” to every entry.

I agree with you about The Great Outdoors. Even as a kid I hated it.

To this day I can’t eat a steak without exclaiming “there ain’t nothing left but gristle and fat!”
