“Presidential Orange”
I thought I knew a bunch of random cars, but this is one that was totally off my radar. A LaDawri Sebring in... Presidential Orange.
One of these. It’s literally bigger than many houses.
Questions I wish I didn’t know the answer to #847:
“What would it take for a lifelong GM guy like me to switch allegiance to Ford?”
No my article was not particularly flattering towards Tesla. Musk did this attempt on a whim and that is simply the wrong way to go about things. Especially things with this level of risk.
There were valid concerns about the way Tesla approached the ‘Ring record, and whatever that was at Laguna Seca. Along with the questionable ways Elon approaches, well, other things.
You were literally living the dream!
Palate cleanser:
Petition to throw that dude working on the clay model into a lake.
Kill it with fire!
“The Taycan may very well charger faster than the Tesla and destroy it around a track, and that’s really what Porsche has been pushing. Its vehicle was built to handle grueling, multi-hour runs around piping hot race circuits, something that has taxed Tesla in the past. But that may not matter to buyers”
That’s one way to look at it, though I would take anything Hagerty says about values with a grain of salt.
Came here just to reccomend the XKR
I know you’ve probably heard this numerous times, but holy shit, those wheels.
Plus the hatch on the XK makes it practical for daily driving. It will fit a short board or stuff from a trip to the home repair store.
Good choices! The aluminum-bodied XKs are phenomenal cars.
They’re mistaken that it’s a 1 of 1. DBS 2010 manual Volantes are very rare, but I have pics of one that Miller Motorcars was offering a couple years ago. The best authority is the official registry at astonmartins.com If something is truly unique, they’ll state it. Tim can run the VIN and look for sisters.
I’m pretty sure this is where the “Why not both?” meme goes.
I learned on a new word today - “swasticky.” Was happy to learn that it referred to an old VW logo and not the Post Its on Trump’s desk...
