You shouldn’t be able to protect ideas. You can’t copyright an idea, you copyright the work or characters.

I’m not sold. I think of patents as copyrights for physical things. Your “thing” is protected, people are not allowed to make a copy of your thing. But you shouldn’t be able to patent the concept of an action being done.

I truly have no idea of what to expect with this movie. My guess is they know that it is mediocre so they just keep pushing it back and can blame it on whatever variant is the topic of the day.
