Around here they didn’t order a single super cab. All crew cabs with a ton of options. Lowest ‘19 around here is still over $35000 with everything on the hood. That’s a good bit off consider it was over $40000 before that, still not close that entry $24000 though.

..and the Dodge Challenger is made in Canada, who cares?

Aww yesh, if this ends up being any good I may actually buy one in a few years when the ol’ Outback finally retires. Something like this is perfect for the homeowner who wants something that can do utility work for projects around the house, but who doesn’t need to haul a million pounds everywhere. Something for the

The new Ford compact pick-up will start under $20000, but you won’t find one on the dealer lots for less than $27000.

Yup. It’s just like sports coupes/sedans of the past few decades:

I was interested in these when my Ram lease was up last December, and I ended up just getting a new Ram. I got a Hemi, big touchscreen, sunroof, and more cargo/passenger space for a lower payment. I liked the idea of a convertible pickup with a manual transmission, but it’s not worth the Jeep Tax.

plug $19k, 1996 into an inflation calculator and see what you get.  riiiigggght.

The 4 door wrangler outsells the 2dr 4:1, why would this truck be any different? I think they’d have a hard time moving 2dr variants at any realistic pricepoint.

I don’t think it would sell except to the kidless people and first cars for upper middle class high schoolers. The recent boom in Jeep sales is on the back of selling to families. The 4 door Wrangler is the “I’m not a regular parent; I’m a cool parent” ride of choice of the middle class

This is not a 1/2 ton pickup.

I had to roll my eyes at Seattle to San Diego not being “driving distance”.

That’s a great color. Well done.

I’m not a truck guy, but that’s a pretty truck.  10/10 would drive.

Well, duh. My money working (‘figuratively’ for those without understanding of finance and economics) for me.

And what would your motivation be to start a 0 profit corporation? So far nobody has taken up this idea so I must question it’s logic.

Okay, well lift them and throw some plastic cladding on them like subaru and Voila! Sales increase

Reverse: The year DST went too far? Every year DST happens, it goes too far. It is arbitrary and pointless complication added to our lives. Makes no difference whether we lock in standard time, stay on daylight time forever, or make the smart move and all just start using UTC. Any of those are better than having the

I’m waiting for Chevy to wise up and just keep making trucks and SUV’s but electrify everything else. Why kill the Cruze, Malibu or Impala? Just put fully electric drivetrains in those and let them do their thing instead of killing them.

I was a NASCAR fan back in the mid 2000s when the racing was still good in NASCAR. (I realize some people debate this, but the competition was good at that time ... it steadily declined since about the late 2000s or so.)

The reason I mention this is because I attended at least 5 or 6 Brickyard 400s.
