Two black men with a collective net worth over $1B. Who are widely considered some of the savviest, smartest, and politically active in the sports entertainment field. Who invest, create jobs, and give back to their communities to an unparalleled degree. Whose collective reach rivals that of the President of the

Never did I imply that Obama was a man without faults. I was simply refuting the point that he didn’t do anything. He tried. And it was a big deal to him. Perhaps the Dems could have worked on gun control instead of the ACA first, but its all hindsight now. But you’re right. It is an uphill battle, but that’s why we

no. just a moron

Obama was extremely passionate about gun control. But surprise, surprise he was stymied by the Republican Congress at every turn. I agree that it is all very disheartening, but the best we can do is ask our elected officials about this very issue, make them take a stance, and vote for people that will do something.

Please leave the obvious NRA trolls in the grays.

This is untrue for most places. And don’t even get me started about gun shows. Just last month, my roommate got his first gun in less than 10 minutes. It shouldn’t be that easy.

I said it is “much closer to a chong sound”. Not that it is pronounced “chong”. My point being is English speakers have an easy time reading the word “chong” and pronouncing it. “Chahng” is much harder for them. So the obvious closer approximation to the correct pronunciation would be simply changing a letter. A

Cool story, but if you actually read what I wrote, I said it is “much closer to a chong sound”. Not that it is pronounced “chong”. My point being is English speakers have an easy time reading the word “chong” and pronouncing it. So there is a closer approximation to the correct pronunciation simply by changing a

It’s hard to blame people as the anglicized spelling is where the confusion comes in. 창 is much closer to a “chong” sound. No idea why it is spelled “chang”.

1) So, your assumption is that every team can make the playoffs no matter how bad their roster is by simply trying harder? This is just patently untrue.

why? I still have Hirano as the favorite seeing as his run at the XGames last month is the best run ever in competition. And James is ranked #1. should be a great final.

outliers don’t make the OP’s point any less incorrect. snowboarding (like most sports) is in fact a young mans (womans) game. most people peak (as far as tricks go) between 18 - 25. its hard to make it past those years without major injuries catching up to you or the progression of the next guard surpassing you.

If you aren’t guaranteed a top draft pick, then you have every incentive to be as good as possible.

Agree with this so much. Imagine the Hornets finishing in the bottom 5 and then getting the 30th pick. Then the next year they finish in the bottom 3 and get the 24th pick. Good luck on drawing any fans. You think tanking is bad? What happens when small market teams can’t even improve through the draft? How is it good

Why would the NBA want to be in charge of that? The system works fine for them

In your scenario you just create a different tanking point around the #7-10 seeds

I don’t think this is realistic and would lead to other issues. Larger market teams already have an unfair statistical advantage in free-agency. There are only a select few teams top 10 players will sign with. The draft is legitimately the only way teams like Charlotte, Indiana, Denver, Cleveland etc can pull a top 10

MLS has a lot of issues, but there are other ways to incentivize winning and out-of-the-box thinking without going to a pro/reg system. Personally, I I’m against it and don’t see how it would significantly improve the league. Especially under the current constructs of the league.

Nah man. I agree that I could care less about how the US does or the athlete STORYLINES, but the Olympics are fun. At least its different and something to mildly pay attention to when bored. Stupid snow sports. Sweet!

White will be lucky to get bronze. Hirano is the clear favorite after the X-Games and James has been more consistent.
