Can’t sleep, clown’ll eat me.

To be honest, I never wanted a masterpiece; if I wanted that, I have the novel right on my shelf. I wanted something that was fun and violent and intense, more of a horrific fantasy film than a slow building creepfest, a new film for the Halloween marathon rotation. It seems I got exactly what I wanted.

Oh, you should still go see it. Just don’t go in expecting a masterpiece.

This is all Brad Bird’s fault. He said he knew a director that “reminded me of me” to give Trevorrow the Jurassic World gig as he himself passed on TFA. I think to make up for it he should make Ep IX.

Ron Howard close with Lucas too, and they brought him in. Me not sure there that much bad blood between Lucas and Marvel, given that he sold franchise willingly, for huge pile of money, and his protege Kennedy still running show.

Kathleen Kennedy is a longtime friend of Lucas, her as well as the rest of the Lucasfilm storygroup(who all seem to love Star Wars outside of the money aspect) have an interest in producing quality films, even though something slapdash woudl still turn a profit.

This news makes me so happy. Jurassic World was innocuous, paint-by-numbers summer action fluff. Nothing about having him direct Ep. IX made me look forward to it.
