Because they're the sign most closely associated with evil? ;-) I kid, i kid, just saw a chance to quote Split Second (90s movie, not video game) and had to go for it.

I took that to mean that she very clearly knew everything that Jeremy was going to say. She understood the whole "we were in love, then she died, then she came back and i was confused" thing. She's not stupid. She knows its complex and intense. What his explanation wouldn't have done was tell her anything she

Did the same thing. I'm assuming that it was done on purpose, but who knows?

I was wondering what happened with this theory also, its nice to what's been put towards it. Thanks for the link, great article!

Yeah, i've never been quite clear on just how well he heals. I mean, ok, there are scars from some things obviously, but if he really heals just like a normal person, only faster, he's basically a walking burn victim. I mean, he probably shouldn't have ears, or a nose, or really any distinguishing features, just a

gosh.

Great answers! I'm so into this series right now, it's insane. I haven't been this excited by a series of books in a long time. I love that there are going to be more and i can't wait for them.

This should be used as either the introduction to every "steam-punk" novel out there, or at least be quoted in the wiki page. Great summary of the early movement and what happened to it.

I see where you're coming from and, on a personal level, i even largely agree. But i know there are lots of people out there who can still connect with the material, and to them i say "good on ya." Also, as someone who doesn't even particularly like black-and-white films, let alone silent, i was still utterly blown

Cross-dominant here. Writing and other fine motor skills are all with my right, but i go left for holding a bat, or golf club, and i'm more comfortable riding goofy-foot. Also my left side tends to be stronger than my right. This cross-wiring is what i've always blamed for how clumsy i am ;-)

Still haven't seen Moon. I want to, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Oh, and Metropolis, but that's more a symptom of the fact that i'm not a big watcher of pre 1960s cinema.

I'm sorry citizen, please check your inbox for the most current memo of Retired Jokes. You'll find references to virginity and geek-dom to be covered in the pargraph 3, subsection ii. Please read in its entirety and make the correct adjustments to your "humorous" statement.

Holy crap, someone built my dream house! I'd never quite put it all together in my head, but if i did, i'm pretty sure it would look almost identical to this. I'd kill to see the inside.

Makes sense. They want to see the movie 'cause its part of a series they like (PotC), or because its Sci-Fi, but they've heard it sucks and they don't want to pay for it. With movies of this quality an earlier generation would have waited for the Free HBO weekend special and tape it.

Ahh, but the CW just signed a deal with netflix and now all their old shows are coming to streaming... Who's coming to my place for a Buffy/Veronica Mars/Angel marathon!?

If it wasn't so cold, and 96% white, i'd move right now. Never realized it was such an awesome state, thanks for the info!

"Westley, what about the R.O.U.S.'s?"

Ack, had to fight the little bastards off a few years ago and it SUCKED. Everything in bags, everything in storage, three treatments with pesticides and an inability to sleep for weeks due to insane paranoia levels. No fun at all. I love NYC, but i could really do without the bugs.

THIS. i think you just summed up perfectly why it is i do a spit-take anytime anyone says "I wish the movies would just stick to the plots of the comics!"... what plots!?!?! The best thing about these movies is that they're forcing some continuity and good plotting onto these worlds/characters.
