Cry Me A River wasn't even his first song about Brit either (Gone).

It's not just the Veronica Mars fanbase, I think. At this point, we're going to see a lot of people who are fans of other cancelled shows contribute to up the number, hoping that their favorite show might be able to do the same thing (there's a ton of other TV producers out there looking at this Kickstarter with a lot

You could have done that with the extra role level, but those are all sold out now, too.

Now I just have to figure out if I want to watch that stream on my computer, or figure out a way to watch it on the big TV.

It's goal was lower, though. So it depends on whether you're considering the record as fastest to goal, or fastest to $1 million.

They could have done that, yes (and truthfully, if the Kickstarter hadn't been wildly successful, they probably would have). But the stuff like the screening and the speaking role (and probably the premiere tickets, even though it says you take care of your own travel) would have still been US only.

The rewards themselves aren't free. Of that $50 donation that you need to get the DVD, they probably only actually make about $15-25 dollar between buying the shirt, buying the DVD from whoever is making them wholesale (because those aren't free either), US shipping, and Kickstarter taking their 5% cut. So the extra

Is there really anything else that needs to be said after Serenity? Maybe something set between the series and the movie, but I feel like that story needs to end at the movie.

More like "We love our fans, but not enough to pay for international shipping of the physical items or deal with the logistics of international travel".

I think that record had been broken since then. If not by Ouya, then by the Torment one (which is at 2.5 million right now).

Is anyone streaming it (legally)?

I wouldn't be surprised if this hit $10 million by the end of it.

I think this is going to make at least $5 million. Biggest Kickstarter ever, I'm predicting it now.

You can only do that with PayPal, from what I've heard. If you try to add funds to your wallet from a credit card, I thought it had always asked you to do it in increments.

Even broken features show an effort being put forth to improve the product. What Owen is saying here is that they didn't put forth any effort at all. There are absolutely no new features here. They took out 1 feature and changed a flag in the game to switch Houston to the AL. That's it.

Because as much as you like to think it's a copy and paste, they have added new features each year. Maybe they're features you didn't care about or didn't like, but they do exist and took time to work on. To claim that any one of them is as bad as this is just hyperbole for the sake of it.

Wow.

Isn't that exactly what "Not Yet" means? That the game isn't ready, but it could be in the future (i.e. when the servers cooperate).

It's not an assumption. They straight up said it wouldn't be backwards compatible with PS3s at the announcement meeting. There's some hope for PS2 and/or PS1 hardware backwards compatibility, but the PS3 games, if they ever become backwards compatible, will be through streaming.

Polo is the primary horseback game right now, yes. But you have to remember that these games (and names) go back 100+ years. So Aussie Rules football (rugby), Association football (soccer), and American football (football) are all derived from games played on foot since the aristocrats were the ones playing on horses.
