It may appear amazing in isolation, but this situation of vehicles stopped on freeways while distracted/tired drivers go by is happening constantly across the US. When eventually one driver veers off in the right spot to take out the stopped vehicle and it's all caught live on camera it makes it to the national news

Worked ski patrol in a past life. If you had a snowmobile on a slope, someone would ski into it.

Never stop on the side of the freeway if you can avoid it. I did many years ago and another driver fell asleep at the wheel and slammed into me while he was traveling 70+ mph. I should be dead. I spent over a week in the hospital. I’ve had lifelong back and knee problems as a result of the crash. Go to the next exit

Kind of amazing that in that looong straight stretch of highway, the dump truck manages to go off onto the shoulder at the perfect spot to hit the stopped pickup like the driver was aiming for it. Which I am absolutely NOT saying he was.

I watched the first (new) episode on Amazon last night and I did not expect Dave and Kevin to give us the Full Monty. That was… something. Good premise to to the sketch, though.

The great thing about this repeated typo is that I can actually picture Dave Foley having such a deranged, reflexive series of responses in an interview.

Might just have been that one in a million perfect combination of gas and air in the tank that put it in the ignition zone, or possibly it being a highway clean up vehicle there were ignitable chemicals on board. I guess we need to wait for the official full report on this. It is an odd one, for sure.

My god. I'd rather not have seen that, to be honest. Any idea why such a fireball? I mean inertia and mass and all that, but still.

Waze, spotify ... So you don’t have to check the navigation option nor subscribe to Sirius.

I don’t even have a working radio in one of my cars and it doesn’t bother me (one CD plays on infinite repeat), but I can see the value in a system that allows you to select music, take calls and access navigation software within the same user environment, and that stays broadly up-to-date (unlike the proprietary user

Sadly there are no good phone mounts, just ones that are bad in different ways.

Eh, to each their own. Personally I find it a lot easier to interact with a 10“ screen that’s fixed to the dash than to fumble with the 5.5" screen on my phone, especially since I have yet to find a phone mount that’s both convenient and doesn’t dump my phone on the floor every time I hit a bump. This way the phone

The simplest and most universally understood way to control something on a screen has become touching the screen. That hasn’t always been true, but the way we interact with the world around us and expect things to work has changed dramatically in the last 15 years. We’re all trained for touch screens, and every app on

If they never went with that lousy meta story about the crew, they wouldn’t have to do such backflips; for the previous 7or 8 seasons (or forget if they pulled out to include the crew and doc in the final season or the penultimate) they never touched the question of “why are these people being filmed?” and I think it

And that’s why making the whole thing an actual documentary sucked ass. Parks and Rec had the same format, but never painted themselves into a corner by saying that the faux documentary angle ever had to lead anywhere. It was just the format of the show, with no explanations or reasoning.

Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine are two of his best performances (granted both allowed his comedic talents to show through) and got him a lot of credibility with both critics and audiences who were tired of his plasticman schtick. But like many comedy actors trying to prove themselves as serious, he went too hard

Carrey *wanted* more serious acting roles, hollywood had zero real interest. They let him do the majestic on his own and when it did acceptable he was basically told to get back to comedy. If he was less rubbery he would have likely been competing against Hanks for similar roles for a time but Hanks brought home the

NO ONE SEES THE NETFLIX STATS! NOT NOBODY, NOT NO HOW!

The original Austin Powers is genuinely really good, including his performances. [the sequels are lazy]

I got to Bigfoot visibly shitting a hallway and then gave up. For every kinda okay gag there’s an ass, shit or fuck joke about to be dreged up out of the same 14 year old Mike Myers though this was funny trunk he pulled the entirety of The Love Guru out of.
