David, you are one of my favorites on here, and I say this with much love in my heart, but you wouldn’t know trusty if it bit you in the ass. Perhaps you meant rusty?

All of the suggestions are bad and the people who made them should feel bad for suggesting them.

That square ass grille is killing me. It looks so out of place alongside the rest of the car. I’m hoping they reshape it or at least make it smaller on the production car.

I know the dude is completely loco, but credit where it’s due: He does damn good work.

Why would you have to update the iOS version to do a data transfer? AFAIK, iOS doesn’t even prompt you to update during the initial setup process. It certainly doesn’t force you to update just to sync one’s data.

Yeah, I have been worried about reliability, but decided that the risk was worth it. Every way I looked at it when I purchased, it was absolutely the best fit for me, so I rolled the dice. I did have the thermostat replaced under warranty this year due to a slight leak. I’m sure that I wouldn’t have bought the GTI if

Yup, GTI is an obvious choice. I just happen to be part of a family with a BAD history of VW issues in the 2000s. But I’m gonna test drive a used one and see what I think.

50 years from now (and possibly sooner), the entire LAPD fleet will be EV, as will most of the nation, and now an infrastructure is in place already. It’s easy to mock it now, but people like you said the same thing abut cities wasting money building these stations that dispense gas in 1900.

Not sure I'd consider a 2014 w/ 200k miles comparable to a 2017 w/ 15k.

Based on the mileage shown, not very much.

Wasting money so they can say anyone talking of defunding the police is ripping bullet proof vest off officers chest.

WTF is LAPD doing with something as useless, expensive, and heavily depreciating as a BMW i3???

...what does it take to replace the battery pack?

I don’t think those prices represent a bargain for 3-year old non-Tesla EVs. Who knows what the battery capacity is? Have they taken care to mostly keep the charge levels between 20 - 80% capacity?

They know exactly what works and what don’t work out in the dessert.”

....so, fudge topping and sprinkles, but hold the maraschino cherry?

Fair enough, but what would you say is Bronco’s “advantage” other than heritage??

Heritage is a huge deal. Jeep has been building off-road vehicles for decades. Customers have been driving them for decades. That is decades of perfecting the vehicle. There are lots of knowledge built into these car. They know exactly what works and what don’t work out in the dessert. Everything down to width and

To be fair...the Bronco isn’t on sale yet either and won’t be until after all these model are supposed to come into the market.

No Jeep buyer would ever admit that they don’t intend to do Moab.
