That’s the one!
That’s the one!
And for me, I was dating then living with someone who did keep things up and cook, but resented that I didn’t do it exactly like him (I commuted four hours a day and had a weekend job so i didnt spend “his” money.) He would get very silent angry about it. Turns I he needed to be angry with me to justify his other…
Heh. Work sends reimbursement checks for.mileage instead of direct deposit. I am not missing out on money!
Obviously there are people who don’t fit one gender profile or the other. But I do think, particularly after having kids, women become particularly attuned to the thing a that keep a home running.
Same. She also says, “Women are the ones who need wives.” And she ain’t wrong. There’s an old article from the 1970s about how all women need a wife, and it is spot-on.
Exactly this. There is so much invisible work that goes into making sure a house runs. As someone who lives alone and half the time couldn’t give a shit, I don’t take care of it the way I do when I have a roommate or a boyfriend/live-in.
Everything from making sure the clothes that were washed are folded and put away…
That’s what I get for spouting off first, reading everything later. Thanks.
Also, I want every one of these studies to be broken down by Congressional district. Because it may be 70 percent, but if none of that 70 percent lives in the district, the GOP isn’t gonna give a shit. Politicians care about two things: getting elected and getting reelected.
I know nothing about Paris Jackson’s ability to be interesting, but I will always respect celebrity women who are willing to smash eggs on their foreheads and ruin their makeup/hair.
I am incredibly jealous of your life. My mother and I have started watching “The Zoo” on Animal Planet and I am kicking myself daily for trading in my biology major for an English major. (Although my potential chemistry professors were very, very lucky I made a switch -- that shit made no sense.)
Photos. I need photographic proof of pandas in seats on flights. (Also it sounds adorable and my day is already shot at 10 a.m.)
People who are constantly emotionally open and honest can be jarring, like primary colors?
That’s my favorite but I have special memories of watching The Little Mermaid with my grandma and brother. (It snowed for the first time of the year when we left the theater) so it always has a little more magic for me than the rest.
Be Prepared followed by Poor Unfortunate Souls for me. (Sorry I’m all over this thread 24 hours late -- I was busy working at this time yesterday!)
I also have the “love Braveheart, hate Mel” issue going on. My only consolation is I bought the DVD before I knew he was terrible.
Mulan above Hercules, please. Your Top 4 is perfect, though.
Hanson has such a sense of humor about themselves. The alternative station interviewed them a few years ago amd they were delightful. And the album as horrible.
Hello, fellow Kansan!
I guess my view is skewed by my own family’s response to Trump. During the election I was very wary about engaging with a lot of my relatives but come to find out they recognized voting for him was not in their best interests and voted Clinton or Johnson (we can debate the merits of throwing a vote away on Johnson in…
True.
My point is it’s going take the American people who voted for him a long time to stop listening to the promise and start following the facts.
