It’s kind of impressive. Yoga, adultosaur, mori & Klaus haven’t been around all that long (1-3 years maybe?), and yet they draw SO MUCH IRE.

Good to know! There’s a word for a punchable face, too, right? Is that used a lot? Because I think that should become part of my everyday vocabulary.
You warned me and I should have heeded your warning.
yup. same.
I’m dying because it’s true!
Fremdschämen is the word you are looking for.
I’ll help! I’ll help!
I wanted Samantha until I got glasses, and then I saved ALL THE MONEY for Molly. I had, like, $72 after two years, and then my parents just bought it for me because they wanted to reward my savings efforts (and dad got a new job with a bonus they blew on Christmas that year). I was SO MAD they wouldn’t let me just buy…
Oh, God. I just watched the documentary “Girl Model” on Netflix and it is so disturbing. It follows a young Russian teenager who has been selected to model in Japan, as well as the modeling scout who picked her out. The modeling scout seems unhinged and the poor girl is completely out of her league with these adults…
Her age in her career also limits her earning potential no? Isn’t she falling into the black years after you’re sexy and before you’re grandma?
Girl on the train in Chicago the other weekend had on a cap-sleeve navy dress with large yellow sunflowers and Keds. I wanted to tell her I wore that exact outfit in seventh grade but decided to let her think it was her own idea.
Haha. Well, if you’re going to do something else, I guess human rights isn’t exactly a bad call. :-)
When I’m having a bad day I rewatch that elevator fight scene b/c it is the best.
Don’t say you’re not smart enough! I did and ended up doing something completely different. I love my job and career, but I regret talking myself out of a more difficult academic/career path simply because I wasn’t top of class. Turns out half of the people in organic chemistry were failing and they were ALL pre-med.…
So happy for her. Kermit clapping for everyone!
PPS is TERRIBLE. Mom has had both of her hips replaced, has significantly diminished lung capacity (something like 67 percent), has a lot of trouble with balance and walking up/down stairs, has nerve issues in her feet and temperature regulation issues... I remember when I was little she’d take these ridiculously hot…
Hugs to you and your mom. My mom had polio as well, although I think she ended up with a significantly less severe than your mothers. I don’t understand how anyone can possibly deny the usefulness of vaccines after seeing the disease’s effects on the human body. These people must be so insulated from the world that…
I’m tearing up reading the description of what the disease did to her. Hugs to you and to her.
I’m your age and my mom had polio as a toddler. I also had a relative lose her husband to the Spanish flu epidemic in the 1910s, and she never remarried (said she had already met the love of her life).
