You are ridiculous with this nonsense dude.

Oh shuuuuuut up

I’m young (relatively) and black and supported Bernie in the primary. I know many others like me as well, come off it.

Whatever, nothing exists in a vacuum.

From the New York times report, it isn’t established that they were threatened by anyone, and I’m not saying that they should have to do anything, I’m just stating my opinion based on the facts that were presented.

I thought of this as well, and I agree, I don’t know their history or truama or what they’ve experienced in the past, but unless my memory on this is failing me, that individual did not cute any of that and homes in specifically on that experience with CK as causing her to abandon her dream of being a comedian. That’s

Ok, that’s fine. Those people are idiots anyway—the ones screaming about “leftisit millitants” that is—but my point still stands. I understand the position that one wouldn’t want to support CK and thinks that he’s hasn’t sufficiently attoned for his deplorable behavior, and of course your have the right to choose not

My point is that you can do all those things, and good on you for that, but CK is essentially self employed and, if there is a market for his comedy, he will be booked. I’m not sure what you intend to, or can, do about that. Not everyone is going to agree that he should be blacklisted forever and he’s *going* to have

Yeah, I know, and I largely agree with it. Despite Chappelle show disappointing decision to keep making offensive trans jokes that aren’t funny to begin with, there was a lot of social commentary that was extremely insightful and on point in those specials, particularly the Bird Revelation.

I agree. And honestly, the idea that CK pulling his dick out in front of you is so traumatic to cause you to abandon your dreams of being a comedian is ridiculous. I know women who are refugees who fled war and murder and rape in their home countries, women who escaped supposed after years of physical and emotional

This makes absolutely no sense, you realize that right? There no comedy license to lose, there's no employer to fire him. How exactly do you expect to stop him from being a comedian? Who is going to force him from his career? This sentiment is completely absurd in this context m

So don’t support him. Nobody it’s forcing you to consume Louis C.K.s comedy, but other people are going to make other choices. What you feel one”deserves” is irrelevant. It had nothing to do with anything. Like, the suggestion that he shouldn’t be allowed to work again? By whom? If there a market for C.K., he will

Eh, his manager didn’t blacklist them from comedy either. That’s a hyperbolic interpretation of what that, and other articles on the subject describe. I still don’t think Louis C.K. “destroyed careers,” by his deplorable actions, and I’m not sure it matters, is that the criteria by which were judging his actions? I

Sure, I just think that in the grand scheme of things it's not so horrible that it should cause you to abandon your dreams. Countless people have endured fat worse and not given up on doing the thing they love. It's just kind of an absurd response in my opinion.

Except it's literally not an office environment like any other.

I don’t disbelieve them, I just think it’s kind of ridiculous.

That’s what I’m discussing. My whole point was that I disagreed with Black’s comment that that should be part of the goal of #metoo as a movement, but I think that if we want actual lasting progress to be made there’s a need for reconciliation.

I understand not everyone is going to agree with my opinion, but...

I do know what he’s done--I’ve followed it in the news. He hasn’t ruined any careers. He denied the allegations for years, but he didn’t do anything to make it so his accusers couldn’t work or were blacklisted or anything like that--at least to my knowledge. A couple of the women said that they were so traumatized by

Where did I say it should? I didn’t. Anyway, I’m not talking about #metoo, I’m talking about how we, as a society, wrestle with its fallout.
