Men and women both are more concerned about a woman's looks. Plus, women are more concerned with clothing. Ergo, women just ~notice~ the wrinkles on their own clothing more than on men's clothing, and men hardly notice the wrinkles at all. Nothing magical about it. ;)

Perhaps this can all be solved by using a normal door, with low-profile handles/knobs, frame and all. Build it so the whole frame works in the sliding mode, but the 'emergency' door part can be opened normally if it fails. It would take a little extra design work, but can be done.

I think you have a good point. Have the EAS on a specific set of channels, but blast every cell with an SMS to get people to tune in.

With some, yes, but not with all. The law does not differentiate between types of headsets. And any blockage of sound is a potential hazard.

Mono, one-ear headsets should be the required gear for being out in public, especially for driving. It is illegal to drive with both ears covered in many states. And driving is the place where headsets are required.

Removing the cabinet doors sounds like a nice touch. Just think about pets, if you have any, before removing the lower doors. Cats and dishes are a bad mix unless you're already in the habit of washing dishes before using them.

You are right on the money! I have too many roommates and we share a lousy house owned by someone who would love to achieve the high standards of a slum-lord. The people can be depressing enough, but the house makes it worse.

About a year ago, a friend was using a streaming site that was in Spanish. Kinda hard for me, but not impossible, but I lived it- it had a great selection that included foreign films, not just US. It really expanded my horizons on what I like watching!

I've killed cactus, jade, and bamboo. And many, many other not-so-hardy plants.
