@jeffk: Also, there is often af delay of a couple of hours from a podcast becomes available at its own site, till it shows up in iTunes.

While I enjoy studying and being academic, something I always keep in mind, especially for my hobby activities is 'what are you gonna do when the zombies come?'

I only write notes in Evernote on my iPhone. That's syncing for ya!

I tried Mozy but had major problems with its mac software, so I changed to Backblaze. It doesn't have a free option, but the unlimited plan costs the same, so it doesn't make a difference for me. And it just works, as opposed to Mozy for me. I now have 53 gigs backed up in the cloud.

I have never left home without a bottle of water for almost ten years now. Water rocks. And it's super healthy.

File quality means squat if you don't have something decent to play them on. Right now I'm living in a small furnished flat in Brazil for six months. The stereo only has one speaker, so tracks with extreme stereo are just horrible.

I used a trick similar to tantaliz3's.

My MacBook is just over three years old and have run 387 cycles on the battery. iStat tells me that the battery's health level is 50%; I can squeeze up to a couple of hours use out of it if I dim down and don't do anything CPU intense.

I've been using mschlock's Playlist of Record ever since it was first featured, but with custom timeframes and some additions.

@zmnatz: I also just realized this recently. I think it was added in iTunes 8 or 9.

Apart from the essential eggs and bacon the morning after, water is a lifesaver.

Quicksilver can do this.

I hate getting up too early, but I will usually get up a little earlier than I have to, just to be able to take my time. Mornings are very routinely for me, I don't want to have to think about anything.

The AirPort Module still doesn't work for me, something I've been missing since SL.

I'm surprised Backblaze didn't make it. It does the same as Mozy (the only one on the list I know), only much better.

VOTE: Backblaze.

VOTE: None!

When I started QS with my old preferences it would crash, but starting from stratch made it work. Until I installed the AirPort Module. But then it was just a question of deleting the settings for that module in /Application Support. There was on other module that caused problems, but I can't remember what it was.

Resin can be a pain to get off your fingers.

VOTE: RunKeeper for iPhone.
