I think current QA and testing practices just got surpassed by the ridiculous complexity of today's games, and a solution for it is anything but close to be found.

I really liked the first battle network, before it went full capcom with so many releases in a very short time and then left to die. The story was nonexistent and the exploration was average at best, but the gameplay in the battles made all the difference.
