Hi there

I fear that it’s become increasingly difficult to produce good satire in a cultural climate of constant outrage. I wonder if this might have something to do with the upcoming Saints Row game dialing it back and the fact that we still haven’t heard anything of substance about GTA VI.

The damn Jurassic Park Explorer sold for less than this. GTFO.

The Explorer was BOF all the way through the 2010 model year.

To your last point, if the cops could determine that he was under the influence (how that could be conclusively determined without a breathalyzer, a field sobriety test, or interacting with the man, and yet they needed to break his window, is logically incoherent), they could ALSO determine that the kid didn’t have on

“At times” is doing a lot of work here when talking about Jalopnik. I don’t care as much as that guy, but there’s a difference in quantity if not in kind to other publications.

Yes, drivers should be more responsible and follow the traffic laws.

Why did the driver not want to roll down his window? Oh right he was drunk. Do you think he knew people shouldn’t drink and drive. Yep. And he chose to do it anyway. With kids in the car. You know, people just need to accept the consequences when they are wrong, but this guy clearly didn't get that memo that would

The root cause of the pursuit and related deaths occuring was the driver fleeing, not the pursuit itself. There are other ways the death could also occur, but the tactics used are likely what is in place and allowable by the police department and approved by subsequent government agencies put in place by...our votes.

But the driver ESCALATED it by driving off.

Only a few steps away from the ThunderCougarFalconBird

“Trafficked”? How about “custody battle”, or “kidnapped”, or yes, even trafficked? Police have to assume that any of these scenarios might be in play if they have no information to go on. If that seems outrageous or silly to you, maybe you live in Singapore where that shit doesn’t happen so often. I live in America,

Leden was the neighbor kid who grandma let go with his friend and his friend’s dad to make some bucks with a parking lot cleaning job. Leden’s parents were out of town at a family funeral. The hits just keep on coming. F’ Charlie Moore who I bet did not insist on Leden wearing a seat belt.

Hits the spikes, loses pressure on one side, swerves and rolls into the ditch - same result. Block the road - swerve around the road block, hits the ditch, rolls over - same result. Wait for him at his home - he’s never going home, at least not until they stop waiting for him there; plus they don’t know if it’s even

He was charged with murder he caused a death in the commission of a felony

I’m not saying he’s not, but regardless, the accident and death happened as a result of the PURSUIT, not the intoxication or the speeding. Take that out of the equation and he’s still a piece of shit, but he’s a piece of shit with a LIVE KID.

maybe speeding isn’t bad enough to pursue a car....

I’m sorry that the boy died but there is no way they should have just “let him go”. Not with two young children in the car who, as far as the officer knew, may not even been the perp’s kids. This tragedy happened because some asshole decided to knowingly put his own children in an extremely dangerous situation, which

Maybe don’t run from the cops when you have your kids in the car?

Cant wait for all the hot takes of people who work from home and order shit off Amazon. “Let me tell you definitively what should have happened from my limited understanding and no relevant experience!”

I keep thinking of that Boondocks episode from 16 years ago. The evidence was there, it has been for quite a while.
