Maybe my Mom’s late 90's Taurus was the exception, but that fucking bubble mobile would never die. It must have been the pinnacle of Ford manufacturing for that year. It literally went almost 300k miles with almost zero serious issues. I hated that car but was honestly kinda sad when she eventually traded it in.

While I don’t see a restoration, I see a lot of body and probably frame work just to make this thing safe to drive and support the weight of the batteries. Not to mention the stress that a decent electric motor can throw onto it. 

Ok, so its a literal piece of garbage. Its a cool looking vehicle though! Is there a reasonable way to salvage this? An exercise in 3d printing maybe? Use the original panels as templates, 3d print all new panels and assemble an entirely new version right next to it?  Maybe the original frame can be patched back…

Sometimes I wonder how I can continue to be so naive. Project Postal happened, and I thought “surely it cannot get worse than this.” But hell, DT always finds a way.

I was gonna say the opposite, that community fixes like these are exactly why I prefer pc releases. Any issues on a console release you gotta just live with, pc usually has a fix to iron out all the kinks.

On the whole though, if a game is loved enough, you can bet certain things to be fixed, but on console things can happen that will never be fixed. Think of any franchise, if it’s on PC, it’s probably fixed. You do have rare exceptions like Final Fantasy Type-O, which is completely broken on PC with no signs of it…

P.S. the above numbers are without wind. It gets much better range when the wind blows. But I can still make the LA to Catalina crossing without wind.
