Cool. Still nothing like DayZ. It's not really a dig at the game, mind you, it's clearly not intended as DayZ for consoles.

Just without the thing that makes DayZ so good - other human players.

Maud, my spirit guide, is telling me we're missing a vid or link here.

Man, this is embarrassing. Someone get this man some canned enthusiasm, he clearly skipped his daily dose this morning...

Every time I see people using the new Wii U controller, they keep staring at that small screen instead of the TV set...

Ohoho, I see what you did there...

She was always very child like in appearance, so anyone who matches here visual profile automatically cases to be an object of sexual interest for me. Yeah, I know the projection goes too far, but that's how it is...

Yeah, I know. I was just wondering it maybe it's just me who can't see women in those, well, women.

It does, but then again, it's a single corridor with some nice particle effects. It's a bit like comparing linear Uncharted to semi open Crysis. Both look great, but one does that in a close environment and the other has to pump those gfx muscles over square kilometers of terrain. In that sense, I'd still give

Small nose and mouth, large eyes and the overall shape of her face make her look like a child to me. Maybe because European women have sharper features and that kind of smoothness is generally associated with children. I tend see a lot of child-like faces when looking at photos of Asians. Maybe it's just me.

This is seriously disturbing. The face of a child attached to the body of a woman is causing some extreme cognitive discomfort here.

I don't think their claims about this being AI and not pure scripting (well, AI is scripted, but whatever) aren't that outlandish. It's a tight corridor section, writing reasonable pathfiding and reaction scripts for enemies wouldn't be that hard. What did turn my ear was the girl chucking a brick at one of the

Just to be clear, I like a scripted, well written story once in a while. And this looks like a really well directed one, even if I don't think the sequence actually justified all the killing.

Scripting galore. This is why I was never much into Uncharted games - they look great while someone else is playing, but they don't really have much to offer when you hold the controller.

Say what you will, but Crysis 3 is still the best looking game so far. Dat textures...

So I was close with the dev station. Those textures would kill current gen consoles in an open environment.

Texture work looks pretty good, as do physics. I guess you could run this off of console hardware if it was a limited environment with little else beyond what you currently see on the screen. They could have just hooked a PS3 controller into a dev station.

I'm guessing pretty much all the fatalities were due to gun fire, not the actual crash.

Planetside 2. Your argument is invalid.

Guess I owe Ubi an apology here...
