As other folks have said in the thread, I wouldn’t buy the Switch for a young kid. I can’t slip it into my pocket, the 3DS has some amazing games and continues to do so, the dual screen thing is still unique, setting it apart from the Switch — so many things.

Probably the amazing libary of games that the video features, most of which could not be properly ported to the Switch because of the two screen gameplay. Also it’s 1/3rd the price

Yeah, apart from Mario Kart, Fast RMX, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, Snake Pass, Snipperclips, Wonder Boy, Master Blaster Zero, Mr. Shifty, Graceful Explosion Machine, Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth, Kamiko and a couple of others it’s indeed the only one.
