I slip my shoes off on the plane, short or not. But like, they’re slip-ons that come off easily anyway because of the whole security theater hoops to jump through. And I take good care of my feet, so I don’t really care.

That’s what happened to me, too. Nearly 5 years after I sold my Pulsar GTI-R, this shows up randomly in my youtube feed.
My parents bought my last car so I get to see it all the time. They absolutely love it, take care of it just as well as I did, and I’m very happy it went to such a good home. They knew exactly how well I took care of it so they were excited to take it off my hands (I even presented my dad with a binder of all the…
Ditto, I had an old truck that I couldn’t find the time/money to fix up. Sold it to some guy on CL and he spent a small fortune getting that thing running like a top.
I sold my old E46 to my buddy when it was about 12 years old to get into a 94 740i (which was a disaster, but that’s for another day). And this dude had the whole car dipped to a matte dark blue, bought a carbon fiber hood ATTACHMENT, it just sat on top of the old hood, crammed some dumb HD lights into it, then bought…
I had the same thing happen recently but for the opposite reason.
I agree with this so much.. I saw my old GTi several months after I’d traded it in.. some teenager had it, there was a big scuff on the back bumper and the inside looked like a Snoop Dog concert green room.. Not once in 8 years had I even eaten in that car, let alone smoked(Anything) in it. Broke my heart.
Five hours or more and I’ll pop my boots off, but only if I know my feet aren’t stanky, and definitely never without socks.
First, that ain’t a Tacoma, it’s a Hilux. Second, it ain’t a stock Hilux, it’s been heavily modified. I’d wager the Hilux costs more than the Raptor. Finally, a supercab Raptor with the short box starts at $49,000. Please show me the new~$16,333 Tacoma’s and/or Hilux’s that would be capable of doing anything in the…
A Hilux SR5 still weighs about 5000lbs A 2018 Ford Raptor curbs as shows A supercab, with 6 1/2ft bed, likely 4x4 at about 4851lbs (Nope Ford’s website is that specific). A Hilux is a TRUCK not a sports car and it weighs like one. I have seen it lists as high as 5800lbs. “I’ll low-balling it but I doubt that Hilux…
Throw the raptor on snow tires and the taco on ATs and the situation is reversed.
AT tires vs snow tires. The difference in performance on snow/ice is massive.
Hilux is heavier duty than a Tacoma, FWIW.
Actually, it is. Assuming the Hilux is comparable to a Tacoma and it’s not heavily modified. A 2017 Raptor weighs in at up to 5800lbs and a top of the line taco weighs in at a bit under 4400.
Hey, 17+ raptor has an aluminum body, I bet the weight difference isn’t as stark as you reckon.
To be fair - that HiLux is sitting on tires just about as big (in terms of contact patch) as the Raptor - and weighs about a metric crap ton less. The Raptor is a remarkable smash-and-bash desert runner; nobody’s ever accused it of being light on its feet.
That special sort of driver is called “just about anyone”. Despite the great heralds of its divinity, a Raptor is just a truck, they don’t do so great on soft snow and ice. Otherwise Arctic Trucks wouldn’t have much of a business model.
Who the hell are these two guys? Never heard of them.
