That’s a fair point. And while I remembered it as Josh commenting throughout, it looks like he or another editor only posted about it that first day, and a year later when the union ratified the CBA, and when Josh signed it. He often discusses the state of digital publishing so may have posted more often about unions…
Well, now you’re being an asshole. In May 2018 his staff let Marshall know one morning they were forming a union, and that afternoon he recognized the union and posted about his support. I’m sure you have a take on that, but fuck off until you can be civil.
I hadn’t watched that clip of Schilling showing he had a “little too much Roy Moore” (or Donald Trump) in him. That was hilarious. He full-on defends a disgusting Trump quote by saying everyone thinks that way sometimes, and when the show host says “Well no, I have never thought anything like that and it’s creepy”…
Schilling’s bloody sock could win a mayoral or state representative race in Massachusetts. Curt should let it run.
That’s the measuring stick? Breaking laws, or not?
The only difference between me and A-rod is that my towels say “H”.
My bet: a cheap camera, cheap laptop, cheap necklace, and a bag full of $500,000.
So bleeding out is not a reason to stop an MMA fight?
I don’t know, in boxing you get your brain rattled around for an hour and sometimes die. MMA seems more brutal but maybe better for lifetime health? not sure
Imma go on American Idol and sing an original called “Never Had a Rimjob”
To say Trump World is full of unscrupulous
(if wealthy), wealthy dirtbags is unremarkable.
Yeah that was the best thing I’ve seen in a while. It’s funny how moving it is to see star athletes interact like normal, empathetic people, which I think isn’t really an indictment of star athletes as much as the limited view we have into their real personalities. But this was lovely.
Supporting unions is probably a different thing from having your own staff, who you feel you’ve treated well all along, form one. There’s a certain adversarial relationship between any union and management. The longer it takes Simmons to publicly support this, the more we might think it chaps his hide.
Contrast with media company Talking Points Memo which like Simmons started with one guy (Josh Marshall) who built it up from a blog to a legitimate news organization. They recently unionized, and he made it clear throughout that he supported their efforts and would recognize the union.
“I’d like a grilled cheese with fries and a diet coke please. No ice, thanks. Oh actually do you have onion rings? Rings instead. Thanks so much.
Yeah there’s pretty much no way to get an address from an IP address. Maybe if you somehow got it (like the streamer accidentally shared it on his/her screen?) then you could maybe get the area they lived in, and drive around there all day with a wifi sniffer or something hoping to latch on to the right one..
IP tracking can only give you general area, and is unreliable. I’m sure it’s from other sources like those paid searches that collect data from a variety of sources.
Remember, this is the guy who find magazine photos of himself in which his hands look big and mail them to former Spy editor Graydon Carter, who coined the Trump sobriquet “short-fingered vulgarian”.
That is so damn funny.
