Yeah that is the weakest excuse I have heard too. It’s not like they would even need to update the game. It’s already in it’s final form.

“We explored options for developing classic servers and none could be executed without great difficulty.” So, a few guys can set one up for themselves and invite 150k people to play on them, but the company that made the fucking game says it’s too hard? Bullshit.

You would think, but that is not the case. The standard idea in the industry for decades has been “Video games are for boys so the characters should be boys. Female characters will alienate our target audience.” Even though this is constantly proven wrong it has taken the industry a long time to really learn the

Being told that you have to live as a gender that you are not. Can’t really imagine that either.

I do seriously wonder how many transphobic people are now complaining about being assigned the wrong gender in a game.

Cheeky as fuck

it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that adding female characters to the game will make more players join but I don’t think the spike in sales has anything to do with not being able to pick your gender.

I’d like to see this for more games. I was miffed when playing Forza Horizon, especially when you could customize your car but the main character is just some White guy in a T-shirt looking like any other dude in a AAA release. Sure you don’t see the guy but... Heck, I’d like to see the driver character get randomly

Unpopular opinion: zoos done right are ok. Yes the animal is sacrificing something for our gain, and that is a sad truth and one we should tell our children and always be aware of, but a zoo with a focus on conservancy and education rather than a focus in fun and silliness is a worthwhile thing, in my opinion.

Right, zoos are just the main groups actively involved in animal conservation. But what do you really care about that? Oh right, you don’t care.

There are a couple hundred Malayan tigers left; just leaving them all where they live is maybe not the best way to still have Malayan tigers in ten years.

You are so right. Also i think the risks are higher for animal keepers and handlers because their emotional attachment to the animals makes them a little too trusting.

Well, that’s just fucking awful. Just goes to show that wild animals, no matter how docile they may seem in captivity, are still wild animals, I guess. I feel for this woman and her family.
