They don’t even have to sober up. The cops can’t prove they didn’t get drunk after they got home.

Fleeing the scene carries some pretty stiff penalties, but they are less than a DUI. They can’t prove you were drunk at the time, so they can’t get you with the DUI.
A vehicle that someone needs to get to work - and can’t use because some assjacket hit it and ran away - would be pretty damned important.
But then they’ll miss out on those sweet ad dollars when you scroll to the next article which counts as an extra page view.
...and slightly less irritating to wrench on. I don’t miss mine for that reason.
Oh man, hit and run carries a pretty harsh punishment in my state, I’d be scared as shit to do it. Felony or misdemeanor with some time in jail almost guaranteed in either case and a fine of up to $10,000, no way its worth your insurance rates going up a bit
Our narrator calls it perfectly:
Sloppy steering? That just sounds like any GM product with a worn out front end.
I work with two Tesla fanboys and they are always telling me to get rid of my truck and get a Model 3 to save money on gas. My truck is paid off and gets 23mpg. Do you know how much gas I can buy for $40,000?
Everyone keeps frequently mentioning maintenance costs of Tesla vs ICE in Tesla-anything posts, but a Model S’s current replacement battery outside warranty - you can now only buy a 100 kwh battery as Tesla will be discontinuing lower kwh batteries - is $27,000. I fail to see how paying nearly $30K for a battery is…
To be fair, working for a company at a less than market-level wage in exchange for hopefully cashing in on the increased value of your equity stake in that company is more or less exactly what like 2/3 of silicon valley startup employees are already doing.
Pretty sure that Venn diagram is just one circle.
So when you work for a company like that, do they physically remove and wash your brain for you, or is more like an intensive re-education experience?
I see Tesla fans are just as mentally unstable as Apple fans.
“Essentially, this poster is just asking if anyone who owns a Tesla would be up to just, you know, work as, essentially, an Uber driver and give Tesla at least half or maybe even all the money earned? Because why not work for free for a for-profit company?”
Off-topic a bit - but GM really should do a new Astro Van. I see so many on the road still both as work trucks or camper vans. They are the right size for cities but tough enough to hold a lot of stuff.
I never thought to try it, but it doesn’t surprise me. My top 2 list of all time favorite cars I’ve owned (and there have been many) goes:
It’s not the number of chargers, it’s being able to charge while not at home in an amount of time that makes it convenient. 30 minutes is still far too long when it takes me <5 to fill up my gasoline cars.
Your mom is adorable!
hahahahahaha! i read this before watching the video and was like ‘oh cool he makes it’
