I read this the same way as mifune_toshiro, that generally speaking women aren't as strong as men, but women's legs tend to be the strongest part of their bodies. I took it as more of a "legs are strong!" comment rather than "girls are weak!" comment.

I'm not even sorry that I absolutely loved Legend of the Seeker. It was so much fun to watch, even if it only stuck to the barest possible bones of the book plot. I was really bummed when it got cancelled.

I know several people loved this series, and as an original story it's not bad but it really has almost nothing to do with the books it's based on. That said, there are a lot of better properties to do a new series on.
