It depends on where exactly. Land can be had on the cheap if you don’t mind being really remote and going without the utilities.

I was more curious about the mechanics of getting internet. Do they tether? Do they use dial-up? Did they somehow manage to get broadband?
That was a disappointing article. I expected it to answer the title:
I travel light and don’t have a lot of possessions. I’ve got two old items I’ve been toting around though, not sure which is older: an Argus TLR camera from the 1940s and a wooden behemoth of a desk, also from the same period. Think Dick Tracey desk.
IIRC gasoline goes bad after a few months. So hording it would be useless in the long run.
Looks like the shoulder pads are attached to the "breastplate." But it doesn't seem like they'd protect much. Where's the armor for the upper arms and elbows? And for that matter, it looks like there's no armor for the torso.
The fact they're all cross-eyed bothers me for some reason.
Ben did not suggest the idea. IIRC he just simply suggested that people go to bed earlier in a satirical essay/letter to a friend.
I don't recall them being involved in the Apocalypse storyline. However, if they did make a cameo, that could set up the Phoenix storyline for a future movie. Maybe?
I visited the National Zoo a few years ago. Granted, things could be improved since then, but at the time, I was very concerned about the number of animals that are known to have large territories - canines, for instance - being cooped up in small spaces. I recall watching one, I believe it was some type of a wolf,…
Same. And third question:
It's understandable. The fashion industry influences our clothes, even if we consumers don't follow fashion. They're the ones who chooses the colors and styles that make their way into the stores, and they tend to be fairly uniform across the spectrum.
Unlike the toilet stories, my old Sidekick (I think II?) met its demise in my dog's water bowl. I fumbled the sucker like it was a slippery soap bar, it flew across the room and landed neatly in the center of the bowl. I grabbed it and watched in fascination as it vibrated, blinked and chirped for about 10 or 15…
His nose is much much more "pushed in" than typical for his breed - it looks like a severe case of brachycephalia. It can lead to health problems (similar to Bulldogs and Boxers) in the long term. Shortness of breath, respiratory distress, skin and eye problems...
Although cute, that cat's nose really concerns me. Poor guy.
Dogs can get this as well.
It was written elsewhere and republished here. Unfortunately Giz still can't lay claim to a "well-written article"
Doesn't work for cells. The towers can't pinpoint the location of the caller precisely.
Apparently they're slated to release a $35k sedan model (SIIIX) in '16 or '17. Much more affordable for middle class.
It'd also be useful for the deaf people, for one.
The dial 911-and-hangup method doesn't work on cellphones, IIRC.
