This strikes me as a goofy idea. Taking time off to raise a family isn’t a problem, but the dearth of well-paying, stable jobs is a major issue. It’s insanely competitive out there for everyone and over-explaining a pregnancy or personal situation is just a bad look. Speak honestly and briefly about your situation and

Great episode! Matt was a surprisingly engaging and refreshing interview subject. Also a great reminder that young kids are insanely impressionable, but at least he sounds pretty self aware.

This makes me so angry because Trump doesn’t care about or probably even remember any promises he made.

Very good piece out in the Atlantic on how there are no good options for dealing with North Korea.

Yeah, I agree that he’s not the worst, but Bill hates the religious right. Maybe it was more emotional than strategic. Just trying to make sense of it.

This has to hurt Bill’s ability to book guests in the future, so if the show is in jeopardy it’s likely for this reason. He’s toxic now.

It’s stunning.

“If we can, that’s great, if we can’t, that’s fine,”

“wasn’t really right for our main stage anyway.”

I get that H&M has a different cost structure and their designs and prices are attractive to customers, but it’s still hard to see how they can withstand the trend to online.

Exactly! I’m glad he’s interested in public service and talking about that interest is a great way to get more people involved, but show some humility and perspective.

Thanks, Ellie, for bringing attention to a very important issue and an incredible person!

I actually assumed they were already doing this kind of stuff, so for once I guess I’m not too disappointed.

Yeah but I feel like Trump/Tillerson trying to being transparent in this regard is also to deflect from how blatantly dishonest this administration has truly been, so who knows what to think anymore except that they are not credible.

I understand what you mean, but I think the AP sums up why Tillerson’s philosophy is ultimately problematic. The rest of the piece seems to be conflating a bunch of Trump grievances.

Seacrest seems like a weird choice because in addition to being kind of stale he’s still got to be really, really expensive. It’s a boring conclusion to a year long search.

Hearing all of these Fyre Festival non apologies is hilarious because it sounds like a bunch of privileged people who have never said sorry in their lives. It’s like they literally don’t know how to apologize because it’s something they have never done.

It’s kind of remarkable he even made it as far as he did. I can’t believe he was able to entertain serious discussions with anyone without a reputable production company on board. Were people just afraid to tell Ja Rule and this guy no?

I don’t feel sad for Melania, but I do feel even worse for Barron.
