If you meet a vegan poly that does Crossfit, what do they tell you about first?

No one makes $200/hour selling fruit on the street.
If that was nitpicky, then I’m a nitpick, because the first thing I thought when I read the headline was “Dude, da Vinci was gay”
This prof doesn’t have TIME because academia takes everything you’ve got, and she isn’t making ‘a few extra bucks’, she’s making 200 an hour. What other kind of job can you just walk into and make that kind of cash in that kind of time? Please tell me. Seriously.
No. The uselessness of a humanities degree is a widely believed myth. Outside of the fact that the skills of those majors are prized, I would have KILLED for some more history majors in positions of power in the years running up to the economic collapse. Anyone with any understanding saw the writing on the wall for…
Not to jump on you too hard, but you’re really not correct about the job prospects of humanities majors. I get that this is the punchline—the English major making coffee or the philosophy major bagging groceries. But it’s just not the case, and you owe it to your argument to be better informed.
The person profiled explicitly stated that sex work was not her only option.
I didn’t mean any slight to the person choosing sex work—I could have phrased that more clearly. I don’t think I made a better or worse choice. I made the one I did in that situation—and the woman in the article made hers. She wasn’t pretending it was her only choice.
Two things: Da Vinci was pretty gay, and artists don’t paint nudes because they’re horny or prefer people with their clothes off. Although I’m sure that was the reason for some artists, it’s certainly not why figure painting is a tradition for students and masters alike.
eta: yes, both points are super nitpicky. I…
Lots of people paint nudes without being horny, it helps a lot when learning to draw. That said, from what I understand most of the evidence suggests Da Vinci was gay further removing horneyness as a reason in this case.
I love how the original post dismisses The Good Place as “the dumb show before [Will and Grace]” then complains “is there nothing new in Hollywood?”
I don’t think that’s fair ... teen pregnancy is incredibly down, which is a huge indicator of the use of protection. Just making stuff up doesn’t explain anything...
She just had a part in a TV show that was cancelled. That doesn’t imply that she wouldn’t like steady work if it were offered.
Blair Waldorf, the best character
The police are very unlikely to deal with the kind of fact pattern she describes in any satisfactory way. Also a person in that situation is likely to rationalize it away as “consensual” because they weren’t being forceful enough or reacting in the way they expect a rape victim to act until they get more perspective.…
Yeah she wants that sweet sweet rape money! Police Always believe women. It’s not like there’s been case after case of men not being charged or sentenced to a slap on the wrist and the town punishing the victim or anything. Just lots of sweet sweet rape money.
You absolutely can’t relate and don’t understand.
If you’re asking in good faith I’ll give an answer, albeit a short one.
Thanks! Seriously though, Anika is a couple of years older than me but a schoolmate of mine. She’s always been talented and a class act. We’re very proud of her!
