Absolutely true, and I think the main difference is that tracks, imo, are inherently more interesting to watch than ovals. I know there’s an equivalency of skill involved, but when you’re watching it on TV, it sure just looks like some dudes having a drive around in circles.

I was bullshitting with folks in the NASCAR subreddit during the race, as I often do, and said that I, as an F1 fan, whose used to car parades, find this car parade boring.

That was the most interesting part of the race. What a snorefest.

The Mayor is the coolest dude on the Indycar paddock. It’s great to see him recovering so well and I look forwards to seeing him around next season.

So many good road courses in the US and Canada that could be run. NASCAR needs more variety on the schedule. Going to the same ovals twice a year is dull.

NASCAR fans can bash on me all they want, because I’m enjoy NASCAR too, but INDYCAR is the tops for interesting US racing series this year. All the races but NOLA have been stellar (and NOLA was the fault of weather and an uncompleted drainage system). INDYCAR is on the upswing folks!

This might be the one thing that gets me excited about the new Top Gear, as opposed to “The Jezza, Slow and Hamster Race Amazon Drones Places Show, featuring the Ben Collins”, which I am really quite excited about.
